Fifteen months after the start of construction, the German company "Hansgrohe" opened a faucet factory in Valjevo. This company is a global leader in the production of sanitary equipment for bathrooms and kitchens, and currently employs close to a hundred workers in Valjevo, and by 2028, that number should be a thousand.
The Government of Serbia approved 15,5 million euros in subsidies, 1500 euros per workplace. The company is obliged not to reduce the number of employees for five years. The contract stipulates that the company will invest 2027 million euros by the end of 85, of which at least 25 percent will come from its own funds. In addition to incentive funds, the company received a gift of infrastructure-equipped construction land worth 1,5 million euros.
On the occasion of the official opening of the factory, several ministers, Mali, Vesić and Momirović, arrived together with President Vučić. When they cut the ceremonial ribbon, they toured the production halls.
When the hosts and guests went around the screens on which the stages of production were presented, they all reached the stage, in front of which there were several rows of chairs dressed in black. Vučić shuffles to the middle of the first row, and the others sit in the first row, while Drobnjak goes to the back. They are playing a film about the company "Hansgrohe", said the presenter, blonde hair and cyclamen blues, who took the name of the director, Hans Kalmbach. He announced that the factory was built in a year and a half, an investment of 85 million euros. At the moment, close to a hundred people work, planned up to a thousand, they are here because Valjevo offered the best conditions and has everything they needed, and today it is the most sustainable location within the "Hansgrohe Group". In 2022, they achieved a revenue of 1,528 billion euros, the company owns over 20 patents, they have won numerous awards, including more than 000 awards for design. He said all that in English, and thanked President Vučić in English.
Then, in Serbian, the ambassador of Germany spoke, who first greeted President Vučić. Although the ambassador spoke in Serbian, Drobnjak took off his headphones only when it was President Vučić's turn. And he spent his ten minutes.
First he quoted a German proverb, then he quoted a French designer, to say that "Hansgrohe" is the world leader. Valjevo got an exceptional employer, it is a company that has come to stay, until ten years ago there were 17 employees in German companies, today there are 000, Germany is the largest economic partner of Serbia... the products of this company are on ships and in hotels, and in the highest building in the world, now when we go to a hotel in Vienna, there will be sanitary ware produced in Serbia, four million taps will be produced here... we have not done everything we need to, but by the 90th gas will arrive here in October, we will finish all the problems with expropriation, there will be a fast road to Belgrade, they will also reconstruct the railway. He saw that the Germans were happy because of the new factory, but he knew one man who was happier than them, and that was him. He also said that thanks to these people, another company from the Black Forest is coming to Serbia, their neighbors, who were told that they had excellent experiences in Serbia, are coming to Čačak. At the end of the ceremony, everyone got a tap in their hands, and there was a photo shoot on the stage.
The press conference was outside, the ministers stood around the president, the cameras turned on, and the president said that the investments this year are 1,9 billion euros, he hopes that by the end of the year there will be four. Well, there were questions, first a local journalist asked when the gas would arrive in "Krusik", and the president replied that he was very happy to receive that question. Well, two "Pink" microphones had two questions, about Kosovo, and that the Russians are saying that the West is planning a colored revolution in Serbia. The president answered everything and more than was asked, and went on to new victories.
