First, it was rumored that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was coming to Belgrade, then that his visit was postponed, and the Ukrainian media are now writing about the visit, but with another leader of the delegation.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will not visit Serbia this week, but instead the delegation from Kiev will be led by the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European and Euro-Atlantic integration Taras Kačka, announced Ukrainska Pravda.
According to that portal, Zelenski will not visit Serbia this week, but Kačka will lead the delegation, whose visit was announced by the media, reports FoNet.
Martens announced that on May 13 he received information from, as he says, a "very reliable source" that Zelenski would come to Serbia, which is why he himself traveled to Belgrade for preparations. However, later, as he claims, he found out from another source that the visit will not take place on the planned date "for specific reasons", noting that it could happen soon, but that the date will probably be known only at the last moment.
And the N1 television, referring to the media, reported that the delegation from Kiev could be led by the Ukrainian president, reports Ukrainska Pravda.
Complicated relations between Belgrade and Kyiv
That portal adds that relations between Belgrade and Kyiv remain complicated due to the attitude of Serbia, which nurtures traditional friendship with Russia.
Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has visited Ukraine only once, in order to attend the Ukraine-Southeastern Europe summit in Odessa on June 11, 2025.
At the time, Vučić did not sign the declaration condemning the Russian war against Ukraine, adding that he "did not betray Russia" with such a move.

There is, literally, no difference between the one who claims it is day in the middle of the night, or the one who claims to be a giraffe, from the claims we read on billboards: that Vučić is working to unify Serbs and that Serbia is doing better and better day by day.
The pre-election arrests due to the alleged "overthrow of the state" testify to the regime's panic. The bad news for them is - they can't arrest the whole people who decided to defend themselves from progressive beatings and election theft
