Svetislav Pešić: With self-belief in the Germans

Serbian basketball players will fight today in Manila for the title of world champion. Before the match, the broadcast of which starts at 14:40 p.m., the coach of the Serbian national basketball team, Svetislav Pešić, spoke to journalists.

"We are playing against Germany, probably no one expected that, but we did and that is the most important thing." They didn't lose a single game, they had a perfect championship, that doesn't surprise me. Serbian basketball players played seven matches until the finals, five of which were in the group stage, with a win-loss ratio of 6:1. The silver medal is guaranteed, but the eighth match will determine which national team will return home with the best.

The Serbian team, under the name FRY, was last world champion in Indianapolis in 2002, and Pešić led the team from the bench as a selector.
