A large number of citizens responded to the call of students to bring signatures to the Republican Election Commission together for the list of citizens' group "Student list - Students are winning".
In front of the building of the Republic Election Commission (REC), students and citizens first played the Užice round with boxes containing signatures of support for the student list, and trumpeters were also present.
The representatives of the Student List then submitted to the Republican Election Commission in Belgrade a list of candidates for parliament.

Previously, at a gathering in front of the Rector's Office, Nemanja Karović, assistant professor of the Faculty of Teacher Education, assessed that the walk to Republic Election Commission (REK), where the submission of signatures for the electoral list is plannedStudent list - students are winning", the final step of the student movement on the way to electoral victory.
Karović said that it has been talked about for months that the students are winning, but now the date they expect to represent the day of victory is known - October 25.
According to him, on that day it will no longer be necessary to look at the calendar, but it will be enough to look at the clock to know when, as he stated, freedom will return to Serbia.

Speaking about the emergence of the student movement, Karović assessed that it represented a natural and human reaction to injustice, and that it developed on the basis of humanity and democracy.
He recalled the tragedy in Novi Sad, in which 16 people died, stating that the students responded to that event with solidarity and the feeling that it was also their pain. Faced with the corruption and irresponsibility that they believe led to the tragedy, they said that such a situation can no longer be accepted.
Karović pointed out that the students did not give up even when they were threatened and that, despite the physical attacks, they continued their activities.
When, as he said, attempts to collapse the university began, the students managed to connect different parts of society by walking through Serbia. He described the student struggle as an example of strength that does not depend on physical force, stating that even much stronger structures can be fought with seemingly weak means, if behind them there is a people seeking justice.
Therefore, according to his assessment, today's walk from the Rectorate to the REC is not only part of the pre-election rally, but the final step of the student movement towards victory.
Karović described the political scene in Serbia as a conflict between two sides. On one side, according to him, is the ruling regime supported by paid thugs, blackmailed citizens and people who got rich at the expense of the people, while on the other is the student movement, which he described as a political force born from social consciousness, not from individual interests.
Referring to the claims that Serbia is divided, Karović assessed that the country is currently, on the contrary, particularly alive, young and unique. He believes that the citizens have a simple choice in front of them and that the student victory is closer than ever.
He said that the victory of the student list, according to his interpretation, would mean the defeat of crime and the mafia, as well as a kind of new beginning for Serbia. He ended his speech with messages of support for students and Serbia.
Student strength in great support
A student at the Faculty of Dentistry, Milica Popović, one of the students who were targeted by the Pegasus spyware, said at a meeting in front of the Rectorate that representatives of the government and, as she called them, the so-called opposition daily target individuals who support the Student List, count candidates and examine who is on the list.
Popović assessed that such attempts will not divide the student movement, because its strength, as she stated, does not rest on individual names, but on a large number of people who stood by the students' struggle. Among them, she mentioned professors, workers, farmers, pensioners and all citizens who want an orderly state.
To those who are trying to determine who supports the Student List, she said that they should look at their own environment, among colleagues, neighbors, friends and family members, because, according to her, there are many more people who support the changes than assumed, and they no longer want to be silent.
Speaking about the submission of signatures to the Republican Election Commission for the list of the citizen group "Student list - Students are winning", Popović assessed that the student movement is entering the peaceful end of its activity so far.

She recalled the numerous actions that preceded this moment - walks, blockades, tours of towns and villages, bicycle tours, gatherings throughout Serbia and conversations with citizens. According to her assessment, all this showed the students that Serbia has made up its mind. She stated that citizens in different places opened doors for them, provided support and urged them to persevere, which the students, as she pointed out, did.
Popović assessed that now is the time for students to take over state institutions and fulfill the demands for which they started the protests. She stated as a goal the establishment of a system in which the law will apply to everyone, justice will not be the privilege of individuals, and state institutions will belong to citizens.

According to her, Serbia has been captured by the interests of organized crime. She pointed out that citizens have heard for years that change is not possible, but that students have shown the opposite.
She reminded that the student struggle began after the fall of the canopy and that it has been continuously growing since then, until today.
