Commemoration for victims of mass murder in elementary school "Vladislav Ribnikar" will begin today at 8.40:10 a.m. at XNUMX Kralja Milutina Street, when the families of the murdered, relatives and friends will lay flowers and light candles, it was agreed at the meeting of the Working Group for the establishment of the Memorial Center.

Citizens will then be able to lay flowers, light candles and write in the Books of Remembrance.
"The part of Kralja Milutin Street, from Njegoševa to Krunska, called 'Space of Silence', will be closed to traffic from 8.40:19.30 a.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. for citizens who wish to pay their respects to the victims," the announcement reads.
Today at 8.41:4 a.m. and on Friday, May 22.32, at 3:4 p.m., the media in Serbia will commemorate the anniversary of the tragedies by interrupting their programs by blacking out the screens and interrupting the broadcast of a one-minute television and radio program with the text: "May 2023 and XNUMX, XNUMX. We remember".
The commemorative day marks the beginning of the multi-layered process of memorialization, and it consists of a spatial-artistic installation that enables dignified delivery of mail to the victims at the scene of the crime and will remain in the public space as a symbol of common memory until the start of work on the establishment of the Memorial Center.
A forum will be held in the Tašmajdan park, near the monument to Desanka Maksimović, from 9 a.m. to 19 p.m., which is an invitation to citizens to jointly critically reflect on the causes and consequences of mass murders.

As announced, the final musical and stage program will be held in the Student Cultural Center, but citizens are invited to come to Tašmajdan due to the limited capacity of the SKC.
"To the great regret of the families and the Multidisciplinary Team, due to the limited space, we invite citizens to follow the event on a specially installed screen on Tašmajdan at 20.00:1 p.m., where they will have the opportunity, in a public space, to participate in common memory, mourning and send messages of empathy and solidarity. The final musical and stage program will be able to be watched live on RTS, Tanjug Television and Tanjug Agency, NXNUMX, Nova S, Insider TV...", the announcement reads.
