Representatives of the initiative "Proclamation" invited all citizens of Serbia to stop for 22 minutes on Friday, November 11.52 at 15:XNUMX a.m. and pay their respects those who died when the canopy of the entrance of the Railway Station in Novi Sad fell on November 1.
Ivanka Popović, a member of that initiative and a professor at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy in Belgrade, said at the press conference that the citizens will also express their disagreement with the groundless detention of people for expressing their right to disagree with the authorities and clearly emphasize the desire for Serbia to function as a legal state.
Popović stated in the Media Center that it is the 19th day since the death at the railway station in Novi Sad, and that there is still no information about the measures taken by the judiciary.
"We do not agree that the government should divert its attention from the procedure for determining responsibility," she said.
The writer Gojko Božović said that ProGlas addressed a large number of organizations and that the invitation to "pause" was addressed to everyone. As he said, it must be a strong message of reverence for the victims who suffered from the infrastructure built by this country.
"In Belgrade, there will be representatives of Proglas at four locations on Friday at 11.52:XNUMX. The locations are Studentski trg, the intersection near London in Kneza Miloša Street, then the intersection of Kralja Aleksandar Boulevard and Beorgadska Street, and in New Belgrade - the intersection of Art Boulevard and Arsenij Čarnojevića Boulevard," he added.
This event was also confirmed in Bor, Boljevac, Zajecar, Dimitrovgrad, Kruševac, Valjevo, Sombor, Raška, Lučani, Gornji Milanovac and many other cities.
Predrag Voštinić also presented the organization "Free Organizations of Serbia" at the press conference in the Belgrade Media Center, which will organize this action together with ProGlas.
"We do not stand behind the proclamation, we stand in front of it and we will defend it," Voštinić said, saying that the current situation must not turn into a civil war.
