Truck driver Milomir Jacimovic from Đurđevo on Saturday (August 16) was detained, reports N1.
According to this media, the reasons for the arrest are still unknown, but Jaćimović previously announced that he would drive the citizens of Novi Sad to the protest in Valjeva on Saturday, August 16th.
Who is Milomir Jacimovic?
Milomir Jaćimović is a truck driver from Đurđevo, known to the public for driving students to protests, for which he suffered the consequences for months.
He was previously arrested on July 2, after he called citizens to gather in front of the premises of the Serbian Progressive Party in Novi Sad.
Then he was again the target of thugs, who first punctured his bus tires, and then broke his windshield on the day of the protest in Belgrade, where he was supposed to drive his fellow citizens. Also, he received numerous fines.
At a rally in front of the SNS premises on the Boulevard of Liberation on July 1, he tried to harm himself, after which the police pulled him out of the car.
Then his minor son was also detained on suspicion of assaulting an official. According to the criminal complaint, he was allegedly not taken into custody because he pasted posters on the premises of the Serbian Progressive Party, but because during that act he pushed away the policeman who tried to identify him.
After being detained in front of the SNS premises in Novi Sad, the transporter Milomir Jaćimović was transferred to a psychiatric hospital. On July 4, he left the hospital and reported to the police station, where he was detained.
