Novi Sad lawyer Nemanja Aleksić, defense attorney Goran Vesić in case "canopy" who was arrested on Saturday in Novi Sad tested positive for the drug amphetamine (SPID), writes the daily "Danas".
Aleksić was arrested after attacking the driver with a bat, following an argument in traffic.
The traffic police patrol, which happened to be at the scene, tried to intervene, but Aleksić resisted the policemen, who then knocked him to the ground and handcuffed him.
Aleksić was tested for narcotic drugs with a rapid drug test, and the test confirmed that the lawyer was positive for amphetamine, writes the daily newspaper "Danas", based on information received from a source in the Novi Sad prosecutor's office.
At the request of the prosecution, Aleksić was detained for up to 48 hours on suspicion of having committed three criminal acts: obstructing an official in the performance of his official duties, endangering security and violent behavior.
During the night, the police searched his apartment and lawyer's office.
