This year, 52 percent of Russians visited Serbia more than last year, most of them to stay there at least as long as the war lasts. How much this will affect the population in Serbia will be known at the end of November, when the preliminary results of the census are expected

In the population census, which is ongoing until the end of October, foreign citizens are also registered. Namely, a person is a resident of the place in which the census is taken if he lives in that place for at least one year or lives for a shorter time, but with the intention of staying longer than 12 months.

This rule is important when listing citizens of Russia and Ukraine who moved to Serbia this year. The same applies to migrants from Africa and the Middle East.

Serbia has been visited by 65.530 Russian citizens since the beginning of the year, which is 52 percent more than last year - this is the latest data from the Republic Institute of Statistics. Thanks to them, the number of overnight stays compared to the same period last year increased by 125 percent.

Most of them are not tourists.

Estimates are that around 6.000 Russian citizens have received work permits in Serbia, around 3.500 have been granted residence in our country on the basis of "family reunification", and almost 2.000 are in the process of obtaining work permits. A large number of them managed to extend their tourist stay. Only 18 people from Russia requested asylum in Serbia.

From February 24 to September 30, 2091 companies founded by Russian citizens were registered in Serbia, and since President Putin signed the decree on partial mobilization on September 21, 110 companies and enterprises have been established, according to the Agency for Economic Registers ( APR).

Most companies deal with computer programming, according to APR data, 1.455 were founded in the previous seven months. companies and 636 companies. At the top are non-specialized wholesale trade, consulting activities related to business and other management, consulting activities in the field of information technology, and activities of advertising agencies.

The preliminary results of the census will be known by the end of November, including the impact of Russians on the population in Serbia.

Vučić's billboards and reality

There is, literally, no difference between the one who claims it is day in the middle of the night, or the one who claims to be a giraffe, from the claims we read on billboards: that Vučić is working to unify Serbs and that Serbia is doing better and better day by day.

The people do not want to be robbed and beaten

The pre-election arrests due to the alleged "overthrow of the state" testify to the regime's panic. The bad news for them is - they can't arrest the whole people who decided to defend themselves from progressive beatings and election theft
