Russian citizen Sergei Aleksandrovich Andreenkov, the alleged instructor in the sabotage training of Moldova organized in Serbia, he probably stayed in Serbia during September of the current year, according to the digital traces he left behind, reveals Radio Free Europe (RSE).
According to the Montenegrin "Vijesti" source from the security services, Andreekov is suspected of being an instructor of combat-tactical training for citizens of Moldova and Romania. The Montenegrin Police Administration did not respond to questions regarding these allegations.
There is no official information in Serbia about Andreekov's movements, but digital traces analyzed by RSE indicate that he was in the west of the country.
MUP: Two people arrested for military training for armed conflict in Moldova and Romania
Namely, on an open account registered to Sergej Andreenkov, on the "Strava" application, which is used for networking of people engaged in fitness training, and according to RSE research, data about the morning training in September, next to the Drina river near Loznica, was recorded.
As the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) of Serbia announced on September 26, "combat-tactical training for citizens of Moldova and Romania" was organized near Loznica.
Two Serbian citizens, Lazar Popoviฤ from Belgrade and Savo Stevanoviฤ from Loznica, former assistants of the minister in the Government of Serbia without a certificate, Nenad Popoviฤ, were arrested that day on suspicion of organizing "combat-tactical training for citizens of Moldova and Romania".
Minister Popoviฤ is under US sanctions because of his connections with Russia, that is, the numerous companies he has in Russia through which, as stated in the OFAC decision, "using connections in the Kremlin, they get rich."
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vuฤiฤ, confirmed the existence of the camps, stating that the information about them was obtained not from people from government services, but from a private person.
"We got the information from completely private sources. If we do something well, we process foreigners. It was impossible that we didn't notice it. We didn't notice because someone wanted us not to notice," said Vuฤiฤ in an interview with Pink TV.
How did RSE get the email address?
The ethnic village "Sunฤana Reka" in the west of Serbia, where, according to President Aleksandar Vuฤiฤ, was a combat training camp for foreign citizens.
RFE/RL obtained data on Andreekov's movements by cross-checking the email address he registered with, with the applications he installed on his phone using that address.
By the way, information about his email address can be found in the Russian business register, where Andreenkov left this contact when registering a now inactive company in Russia.
RSE contacted Andreenkov through that address. Journalists did not receive his comment on the allegations of the Montenegrin News, the use of email and applications in Serbia, as well as information about his stay in that country until the publication of this text.
