In a traffic accident that happened on July 29 at around 22 pm in Belgrade city bus has damaged more cars in the parking lot in front of the GSP garage near the "Kosmaj" plant, and there were no injuries, it says Radio and Television of Serbia.
It is just another in a series of accidents caused by or involving public transport buses.
In January 2024, two GSP buses on line 95 collided at the stop in Block 21. The accident happened because the bus that was approaching the stop did not stop in time and hit a bus that was already at the stop. There were no injuries, but the damage to the vehicles was extensive. Since that stop is also intended for trams, traffic on the tracks was blocked for a long time.
At the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in November 2023, the articulated bus was cut in half. The accident happened while the bus was on its way to the garage, where it was sent for service, so there were no passengers at the time when the bus broke in half. Then PUC "GSP Belgrade" announced that there are 27 buses of this type, older than 15 years, and announced that all these vehicles will be excluded from traffic and subjected to a detailed inspection of technical correctness.
In October 2023, a public transport bus on line 704 completely burned down on the Brankovo bridge, and there were no injuries just by sheer luck. The fire was extinguished by nine firefighters with two vehicles. Until a crane appeared to remove the wreckage on Brankovo bridge, the direction to New Belgrade was temporarily closed to traffic.
In January 2024, a GSP bus ran off the road in Ritopek and ran into the yard of a family house. Fortunately, there were no passengers in it, so only the bus driver was injured, and the fence of the house was completely destroyed.
In March 2024, near Karađorđe Park, a wheel fell off a GSP bus on line 78 and hit two women, one of whom succumbed to her injuries in the Emergency Center. The wheel fell off the wheel and rolled down the street for about 30 meters, eventually hitting two women.
In the middle of July 2024, in Vojvode Micka Street in Karaburma, a tire fell off a GSP bus and ended up on the sidewalk, but fortunately no one was injured.
At the intersection of Trgovacka and Ulica Braće Vučković in Čukarica in March 2023, the driver of the GSP bus on line 56 died while driving, as a result of which the bus ran into six cars. According to witnesses, the driver fell ill while driving, and despite his bad condition, he managed to turn the bus, which then crashed into the fence of the parking lot. 17 people were slightly injured in the accident.
In February 2024, a bus driver on route 49 lost control and crashed into a jeep that was on the roadway, which then bounced off and damaged cars in the parking lot. Fortunately, there were no injuries.
