Ukraine is interested in carrying out import-export operations through the River Luke Bar. In the organization of this new route, a freight forwarder from Serbia, the company "Panšped", should take part, which can use free carriages of the Serbian Railways, Radio-elevizija Montenegro (RTCG) reports.
"The embassy is working on the analysis of the possibility of establishing additional logistics routes, especially in Montenegro," the statement of the embassy of Ukraine states, adding that the Ukrainian side is interested in conducting additional consultations with Luka Bar on establishing cooperation.
The information published on the website of the Transport and Logistics Center of Ukrainian Railways, that Montenegro offered to transport goods through the Port of Bar, is correct.
Yesterday, the Ukrainian GMK.centar announced that Montenegro offers Ukraine to transport goods through the Port of Bar, stating that it was reported by the Transport Logistics Center "Ukrzaliznica". It is added that the capacity of the port of Bar is up to five million tons per year, but only 50 percent of the potential is used on average, and that the port has several specialized terminals, especially for dry bulk cargo, reports RTCG. "The Montenegrin side has expressed its interest in establishing cooperation with Ukraine on the use of the capacity of the Port for transshipment and transportation of goods," the document on the website of the Ukrainian portal states.
Luka Bar cooperates with forwarders from Serbia, the company "Panšped", which, as stated in the document, will help in the organization.
"We are ready to contribute to the establishment of a logistics route for the transport of a wide range of products from Ukraine to the Port of Bar," notes the company's representative. In addition, "Panšped" has the possibility to use free carriages of the Serbian Railways in case of such need.
