Whoever listened to the joint press conference of Aleksandar Vučić, Olaf Šolc and Maroš Šefčovič could really believe that lithium mining is something that is a historical opportunity for Serbia. As for the guarantee for the preservation of the environment, it boils down to the fact that the guarantor will be the current president of Serbia
If the assurances of the American and British ambassadors and the German ambassador to Serbia were not enough that lithium is something that was given to the Serbs by God and that it would be blasphemous not to use it, this was confirmed today in Belgrade at a joint press conference in the Palace of Serbia by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Vice President of the European Commission for Energy Maroš Šefčovič, of course with the host, the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić
On that solemn occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the European Union and Serbia on a strategic partnership on sustainable raw materials, battery production chains and electric vehicles, as well as a Letter of Intent on the development of the e-mobility value chain with a number of companies, which Vučić said were "the crème de la crème of the industry and financial organizations", among others with Mercedes, i.e. Daimler Benz, and Rio Tinto.
A historic chance
The first to speak was the President of Serbia who, he said, was thinking about how to address the people, and then addressed the assessment that everything that was signed represents a launching pad for Serbia's quantum leap into the future and that he is very proud of that.
Vučić insisted that everything regarding the "Jadar" project will be done transparently and felt the need to emphasize in front of the distinguished guests that he, like no one before him, won the highest trust of the citizens in the presidential elections on two occasions. he will personally see to it that everything regarding lithium mining in Serbia is done according to the world's highest environmental standards.
And there are the German ruling Greens as a guarantor, and you know what they think about him, and what they think about them, and they don't have anything against it either.
Serbia does not have the sea, there is not enough oil, there is no gas, but there is lithium, said Vučić and he dreamed of at least 6 billion direct investments, about factories of cathodes, batteries, the production of electric cars in Serbia, about the entire "value chain" that will revive the country, about everything he wrote on his Chinese electronic board, before the citizens of Serbia were congratulated on what just happened.
German approach
Chancellor Scholz also emphasized that the "Jadar" project is good for Serbia and said something very important: that Germany advocates for factories that create added value to be built where raw materials are mined, in other words, that it must be to give up what was once called "colonialization", and to strengthen the partner countries economically.
With the weight of his chancellor position, he also promised that in Serbia, care will be taken to implement the highest possible ecological standards, principles for the preservation of the environment and biodiversity, and that Germany, as an economic power that adheres to the Green Agenda, has a lot of experience with this.
Of course, he also referred to the "European perspective" of Serbia and the Western Balkans, whatever that meant in the meantime.
He announced the next meeting for October.
And the Vice President of the European Commission for Energy, Maroš Šefčovič, said that this is a "historic day for Serbia" and everything in that vein.
Guarantees for environmental protection
The Euronews Serbia journalist then asked Solc the question whether Germany can guarantee that the environment in the Jadra Valley will be preserved, and Ševčović whether the EU is ready to sacrifice one territory for the sake of its Green Agenda.
If the requested translation into Serbian was valid, Soltz did not give a direct answer to that question, but that the highest possible standards will be implemented, and Šefčovič then repeated this in similar words.
It all boils down to the fact that the ecological guarantor will be Aleksandar Vučić, which he said, because he is doing everything in the interest of Serbia and its citizens, including a healthy environment.
He extended his hand to the concerned residents of Gornji Nedeljice and the surrounding area, as well as to citizens misled by propaganda, and promised to talk to them, and to those third parties who use this lithium story in order not to bring him down, who do not really care about the truth, he will not talk to them. because they will not listen to him.

Columns of citizens headed towards Slavija from six directions - from Novi Belgrade, Zemun and Čukarica, and a little later, columns also started from Studentski trg, from the building of the technical faculty on Bulevar Kralja Aleksandra and from Autokomanda.
The message of the last gathering of the Student List before the elections on October 25 is: It's over! It's a little retro, but considering who it's related to, it hits the spot
The "Students are winning" list held a final pre-election rally on Belgrade's Trg Slavija ahead of the extraordinary parliamentary elections scheduled for Sunday, October 25.
"They tried to destroy our country on an external order. Huge money entered the country and that's why this is the most difficult battle, because they attacked us with billions of euros, and we defended ourselves with purity, our program and love for the homeland," said Aleksandar Vučić at the final pre-election meeting in Belgrade's Hall of Sports
There is, literally, no difference between the one who claims it is day in the middle of the night, or the one who claims to be a giraffe, from the claims we read on billboards: that Vučić is working to unify Serbs and that Serbia is doing better and better day by day.
The pre-election arrests due to the alleged "overthrow of the state" testify to the regime's panic. The bad news for them is - they can't arrest the whole people who decided to defend themselves from progressive beatings and election theft
The ring that tightens around Ćaciland Student list is getting narrower. Because there are more and more spoiled people who see the false prophet for what he is: a street obscener who is fighting Serbia
