The NR doctor from Sremska Mitrovica was arrested due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed the crime of "serious crimes against human health", the Police Department confirmed Sremska Mitrovica.
Patient from Sremska Mitrovica, N. Ž. (44), died a few hours after the doctor discharged her from the examination.
The Sremska Mitrovica General Hospital informed the competent health institutions and initiated internal surveillance.
The provincial health inspection was also in the hospital.

Nataša Žabić was admitted to the hospital on March 31 due to suspected appendicitis. After the operation, she was discharged from the hospital. She went to the hospital again on April 25 because of a swollen leg. Then she was referred for home treatment.
Nataša Žabić's brother, Saša, says that he believes that his sister died due to the carelessness of doctors.
"On the discharge list, she had instructions to return to the ward in case of complications." Natasha felt severe pain in her left leg, which began to swell. "She went to the health center where she was urgently sent for surgery due to thrombosis," says Saša.
However, she says, the doctor on duty did not admit her to the ward, but sent her back to the Health Center even though the situation was serious.
"Through acquaintance, we managed to schedule an appointment with another doctor for the next day at 8 o'clock. Unfortunately, Natasha died in the morning at 7 o'clock, an hour before the scheduled examination. The official autopsy report showed that the cause of death was a pulmonary embolism due to a thrombus. "I believe that Natasha was killed by not being admitted to the hospital where she would have received the necessary treatment," said Sasha.
