The fire in iRevolution, an environmental activist organization from Valjevo that also represents students, was set two months ago.
The Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation into the fire in Valjevska i Revolucija, but police fire inspector Željana Mitrović she stated for KRIK that the fire most likely occurred as a result of defective or dilapidated electrical installations in the attic.
The director of this organization, Vladimir Radosavljević, explains that he did not believe it - because his organization and he have been targeted by local powerful people for years because of their activism, so he hired a fire forensics expert.
The expert determined that the fire broke out in two places - in the attic and in iRevolution - but that there were no electrical installations or energy-producing devices in either place, which would have caused it.
"The simultaneous occurrence of fires in two separate places, without an established source of energy in those places, is a circumstance that indicates the possibility of their being deliberately caused," the expert concluded, according to this media.
Due to its actions, iRevolution was repeatedly under various pressures. Vladimir says that it all started back in 2018 - he received threats, he was intercepted on the street, he received insults and harassment on the phone, but someone also caused his car to break down on purpose.
One of the most dangerous, but also the most heinous, adds this media, was the slander campaign that the local media under the control of the authorities conducted against the members of iRevolution and lawyer Jane Aćimović Planojević.
Valjevska television V5 attacked her and her family members, showing private photos and trying to discredit her. The reason was that Aćimović Planojević represents students who were victims of police brutality at the protest in Valjevo in 2025.
