Zagorka Dolovac issued an instruction to pass an order to conduct an investigation against Marko Kričko for beating students
Supreme Public Prosecutor Zagorka Dolovac issued an instruction to issue an order to conduct an investigation against the recently arrested head of the Criminal Police Directorate (UKP). Mark Kricka because of suspicions that he participated in the beating of students and citizens, writes Nova.rs. The instruction also ordered that the prosecutor's office be regularly informed about this.
This is the first result of the work of the Commission for the Supervision of the Supreme Public Prosecutor's Office, which was established last week with the task of supervising the work of all prosecutor's offices.
According to Nova's findings, Dolovac ordered that an order to conduct an investigation be issued, and that the competent prosecution investigate the allegations of beating students and establish all the circumstances of the event, as well as the possible responsibility of Kričko.
The case sat in the prosecutor's office for a year without any activity.
Student Nikolina Sinđelić stated that she has not been heard for more than a year regarding the criminal complaint filed by Marko Kricak, due to allegations of physical and psychological abuse after the protest in Belgrade on August 14, 2025.
"A year has passed and I haven't even been heard about my criminal complaint, no one called me, I simply believe that prosecutor Slavica Jokić Janković committed a disciplinary offense because she didn't even hear Marko Kričko," she said. Nikolina Sinđelić for Radio and Television of Serbia (RTS).
She added that the prosecutor's office was provided with detailed medical documentation - a psychiatric examination and certified findings of a forensic medicine expert, as well as photographs of the injuries that, as she claims, were inflicted on her on August 14 last year in the garage of the Government of Serbia by police officers, including Kricak.
Sinđelić stated that there are also 10 witness statements about what happened in the garage of the Government of Serbia after last year's August protest.
After those claims, Kricak filed a criminal complaint against her for violation of honor and reputation, and Sinđelić states that he did not appear at any of the hearings in both proceedings.
Sinđelić's applications include eight members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) for alleged physical and psychological abuse in the garage of the Government of Serbia, and the MUP, at the request of the prosecution, replied that the surveillance camera recordings from August 14 do not exist, with the explanation that they are deleted after a short period of time.
"After the emergency calls, the complete report of the Internal Control Sector was submitted on July 23 of this year. In the further course of the procedure, the investigation against the suspects will follow," announced the First Basic Public Prosecutor's Office.
Lawyer Stefan Ćorda assessed that if the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, which is conducting proceedings against Kricak for the alleged abuse of official position in the case of the murder in the restaurant "27" in Senjak, should consider last year's case as well, if it wants to do its job completely.
