They called for a new blockade of the buildings of Radio and Television of Serbia students in lockdown it started on Monday (April 14) around 22 p.m. The action was sudden. At the same time, the entrances to RTS in Takovska, Aberdareva and to the studio on Košutnjak in Belgrade, as well as RTV in Novi Sad, were blocked.
The blockade lasted all night. In the early hours of the morning, there was a very small number of people in front of the RTS building. The public service normally broadcasts the morning program.
Due to the blockade of the Film City in Košutnjak, however, Nova S television is unable to broadcast its regular morning program because employees cannot get to the studio.
The students' message is that there is no withdrawal until a new competition for REM is announced or until RTS is shut down.
Takovska Street was closed to traffic on Monday evening. On the plateau in front of RTS, it was cheerful, music was being broadcast, including the tracks "Pada vlada", "This is the country for us". At one point, the Užice circuit was also played.
"The public media service is working against all of us. Since there is no electronic media regulator REM - no one can tame them," the students stated.

Novi Sad students block RTV
Around 5.30:021 a.m., the gendarmerie pushed the students away from the entrance to the RTV building and formed a cordon. Soon, the students dispersed, leaving behind the wooden and metal barricades that they placed in front of the building last night, writes portal XNUMX. The plateau at the entrance to the building was painted red, and messages were left on the windows and walls of the provincial public service.
Students in the blockade of the University of Novi Sad faculty left the university campus for a protest walk last night, crossed the Freedom Bridge and arrived in front of the RTV building on Mišeluk.
"If you were wondering why we are here, we are here because we coordinated the action with the Belgrade University, which will block the RTS building tonight. They did not report on our cyclists who travel to Strasbourg, they did not make a single decent report", said the Novi Sad students.

General Director of RTV Goran Karadžić announced that RTV employees were "kidnapped", and called the student action "terrorism".
"The harassment continues, the scenography placed outside the building is being destroyed, it is uncertain whether the employees will be able to enter the building unhindered tomorrow and exercise their right to work," Karadzic announced on Monday evening.

The management of the Radio and Television of Serbia announced in breaking news that it demands an end to the blockade of the Public Service and stated that the blocking of facilities and preventing employees from doing the work for which they are legally responsible represents "inadmissible pressure on the media in which citizens have shown the greatest trust for years."
The reason for the ongoing blockade is the intention to shut down RTS, which is violence and illegal behavior and is completely contrary to what the students announced in the Edict of Niš, RTS said in a statement.
It is emphasized that for the third time, students and citizens are "illegally" blocking Radio Television of Serbia, preventing the public media service from working normally. Last time, the alleged reason for the blockade was that RTS published incorrect news about the resumption of classes at several faculties. "The news was correct", claims the person who compiled the RTS announcement, the decision was made by the teaching and scientific councils of the faculties and those decisions were published on their official websites. And it is also incorrect that RTS did not report on the cyclists who went to Strasbourg.
It is further stated that Radio-television of Serbia in all its programs, on television, radio and the internet portal, regularly publishes all information important for the citizens of Serbia, including news about student blockades and actions, such as the protest ride of student cyclists to Strasbourg, and specifies that this news was also published in the central news program on Monday, as well as all other important news for the citizens of Serbia that day.
"Therefore, we claim", it is added, "that the arguments for blocking public service facilities due to the absence of such information in our programs do not stand and can only be placed by those who do not follow that program, which is easily verified by reviewing the shows available on the RTS portal".

In an extraordinary program, TV Informer called the blockade of RTS and RTV "terrorism", "attempted state media coup", and students "serious terrorists" and demanded the intervention of state authorities.
