The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, presented a "plan to destroy the Serbian Progressive Party" targeting the ProGlas initiative. There was also drawing on the blackboard
Statements Aleksandar Vučić that there is allegedly a plan to overthrow the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) in which he targeted ProGlass are - for someone who is the president of the country - frivolous and irresponsible, said Ivanka Popović, one of the initiators of the citizens' initiative ProGlas.
"I don't think it's worth wasting any more words on such statements," said Popović and characterized Vučić's statements as "nonsense."
On Friday, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić presented a "plan to destroy the Serbian Progressive Party" targeting the ProGlas initiative, journalists, opposition politicians, the non-governmental sector and the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
He presented this alleged plan by drawing it on a blackboard in the TV Happy studio.
"It is a broadband preparation for an attack, for the overthrow of a political party that brought stability," said Vučić.
He then added that the plan was to destroy the SNS and change Serbia's course.
"They will create an intellectual form that should be an indicator and a unifier so that wise and intelligent people should govern Serbia, even though there are none - like ProGlas," said Vučić.
He stated that ProGlas is "absolutely financed from the outside", and that they will "pay four million euros" to an unnamed journalist from the outside, and the money, according to Vučić, "will also go to the account of an actor".
Who does Vučić suspect?
He pointed out that along with ProGlas there will be non-governmental organizations and parts of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, and that all of them are "expressly anti-Serbian."
Vučić claimed that "dozens of local movements" will also be active, citing Dragan Milić in Niš and the Local Front from Kraljevo.
He said that the president of the Freedom and Justice Party Drgaan Đilas and a small part of the opposition parties will be in one grouping, but that the majority of the parties will be with the president of the National Movement of Serbia Miroslav Aleksić and the director of Kreni-premeni Sava Manojlović.
He added that he would "pull out" a man or woman from SNS and present him as important, and that they thought they would do that with former SNS official Zorana Mihajlović, but they failed in that intention.
Vučić also stated that work will be done on the passivation of the Socialist Party of Serbia, because the current opposition will not be able to do without the SPS.
"They will be joined by businessmen, primarily from the IT sector, as well as young people who will be separately organized to say that there is no perspective and future in Serbia," said Vučić.
He also stated that "the pressure groups will do their work extra".
"We have time to prepare and win." "When you know what's coming, you can always prepare and manage," said Vučić.
