"So, instead of Structura Concept taking additional measures to protect the construction site, this company proposed occupying the public area for the sake of expanding the construction site, further endangering the safety of students and teachers and, in a word, replacing theses," he comments in this Association.
They add that the application also states that the parking lot and the access road are located in the area of the crane that serves the construction site daily with construction materials and equipment, so it is recommended that "the parking area in the school yard is not used by teachers and that the access road is not used students and employees of the school".
The representatives of the Structura Concept company attended the meeting of the School Board held on September 12 and presented their proposal in more detail, that is, the request - it is written in the announcement of the Association.
In the minutes of the meeting, it was stated that it is planned that by December 2024, the large pit with a depth of almost 40 meters, which now exists on the construction site, will be filled. "It remains unclear how the contractor plans to secure the 40-meter-deep pit, which is about 12 stories high, with a fence barely taller than a schoolyard fence by then."
"We believe that the contractor should make additional efforts and better secure the construction site due to the proximity of the school and the danger to students and teachers. We also do not see any justification in occupying the parking lot and part of the school yard for the sake of expanding the construction site, which is presented as an increase in the level of safety, and we understand the justified concern and opposition of parents. The school yard should be used by children to play and be safe in it, and not for the investor to use it as a warehouse and expand the construction site," believes the Association "Naša mesna zajednica".
