The total number of voters in Belgrade is 1.613.190, the Cesid organization announced on its account on the social network X, referring to today's decision on the total number of voters made by the City Election Commission.
Cesid reminded that in 2018, 1.606.931 voters had the right to vote, and in 2022, 1.600.214 voters. 17 electoral lists will participate in the elections in Belgrade on December 14.
Dobrica Veselinović, the holder of the "Serbia against violence" list in the local elections in Belgrade, pointed to these figures today at the convention of that electoral list in Batajnica.
Veselinović said that according to the latest data, the number of voters in Belgrade, compared to the last election, "is about 13.000 higher", and that this growth can be considered "a natural trend", and that there will be no phantom voters.
He recalled the stories "how the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) will settle 100.000 people in Belgrade and reverse the trend of losing Belgrade", which in his opinion was "an attempt to discourage opposition voters".
"That amount of people cannot enter Belgrade unnoticed. Each polling station will be covered by controllers who are experienced. That level of theft will not happen, we have the best people in charge of that," said Veselinović.
He also said that the city government, which would be made up of the "Serbia Against Violence" coalition, would deal with the problem of traffic, by expanding the BG train network, health care, by advocating to "introduce one package, which means health care in the City of Belgrade", and air pollution, by solving the problems of not only individual fireplaces, but also "over 100 buildings that are heated with fuel oil and wood" in Belgrade, among which there are schools and kindergartens.
