Member of the presidency of the Serbian Progressive Party, MP, lawyer and occasional journalist Vladimir Đukanović said that the Serbian Progressive Party "already" has a majority in the Belgrade Assembly.
He expressed to TV Kurir, as he says, his personal opinion that it would be fair to talk with the leader of the "MI - Voice of the People" movement, Branimir Nestorović, and not with Aleksandar Jerković, who, as "Vreme" already wrote, is offering himself for the cooperation of SNS - in.
According to Đukanović, people voted for Nestorović and not for some Jerković. And if Nestorović still refuses to cooperate, says Đukanović, then new elections should be held.
However, he said that his party already has a majority.
"We already have the majority, it's just a question of how correct and how right it is." I'm simply saying, you have to talk to Nestorović first. I think if he says ne that it will be a mistake on his part," added this ruling politician.
"It is very bad if he would judge that way, because you are simply harassing the citizens to vote again in the elections where the result will not change significantly," Đukanović believes.
Šapić promised that there will be no "secret negotiations"
The SNS candidate for mayor of Belgrade, Aleksandar Šapić, spoke differently two days ago, saying that "there won't be any secret negotiations, but the eventual agreement will be known before the constitution of the city parliament".
Šapić is otherwise announced the constituent session for February 19.
He denied that there was an attempt to "buy councilors", recalling that the "MI - Voice of the People" list clearly had problems even before the elections.
A staged “schism”?
Let us recall that the founders of the "MI - Voice of the People" movement said that they no longer wanted to have anything to do with Jerkovic after he "invited them to a conversation" through the media, claiming that they were actually in a coalition with him.
In a guest appearance on the YouTube channel Balkan Info, Aleksandar Pavić, one of the founders of the movement, spoke about Jerković "and another councilor" close to Jerković who are allegedly ready to enter into a coalition with SNS and SPS.
Jerković, the holder of the list in Belgrade, thus became the tip of the scales as the Progressives and the Socialists lack two councilors to reach a majority, according to the election results that "Serbia against violence" is trying to challenge before the Constitutional Court.
How is it a source told "Vreme" earlier familiar with the developments in Nestorović's list, the whole thing is a game show in order to secure the majority in Belgrade for the Progressives.
"It seems to me that Jerković was deliberately put on the list for Belgrade along with some anonymous people. That way he can run over to Naprednjak, and Nestorović will be disappointed and continue to pretend to be a patriotic opposition," says this source.
