High-ranking SNS official and Minister of Public Investment Darko Glišić accused "blockaders" of the fires in Serbia, but did not provide concrete evidence for that claim.
Minister of Public Investment Darko Glisic he stated that they are students in lockdown and the citizens who support them responsible for the fires that broke out throughout Serbia during the previous weeks. He did not present concrete evidence for his claim.
According to him, "blockade scum" is behind the fire, and he extended the claim to other incidents that he believes are connected to student protests.

"The only ones responsible for the fires in the last year, a year and a half, are those blockading scum who went and set fire to buildings and spaces in Serbia, in Valjevo and so on, in many places. So, in some other cities, they shot, attacked, attacked property and people's lives," Glišić said on Pink TV.
Glišić, therefore, attributed the responsibility for the fires to the students in the blockade and the citizens who support them, but in the presented statement he did not mention specific cases, evidence or results of investigations that would confirm that they caused the fires throughout Serbia.
His statements come at a time when firefighters, rescuers, volunteer fire companies and other services have been fighting fires in several locations in the country for weeks.
On the other hand, members of the opposition accuse the progressive government of reacted late in Deliblatska peščara, that they did not correctly assess the danger, that help from the EU and Russia was requested too late, and that because of this, the scale of the damage from the fire was far greater than it should have been.
The Serbia Center Party (SRCE) called Glišić's accusations "shameful and profoundly foolish" while Serbia is witnessing an ecological disaster and a fire of a protected natural asset in Deliblatska peščara.
"The regime, guided solely by cheap pre-election calculations and sick pride, refused for weeks to ask for adequate and timely help from the European Union, thus knowingly allowing the fire to get out of control and destroy priceless natural wealth," said SRCE.
