Student of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, Milos Pavlovic, he stated that students who want to continue their studies remain gathered in Pionirski Park and that they will start a hunger strike on June 1 if all faculties in Serbia do not start classes by then.
"We will starve until they take us seriously," Pavlović said at a press conference in the camp of students who demand continued education, and he will invite other colleagues who have the same great desire to continue studying to join them.
He pointed out that students have three key requirements.
The first is for all faculties in the country to resume work by June 1 at the latest.
The second demand is to initiate moral, disciplinary and criminal sanctions against all those who prevented the exercise of their constitutionally guaranteed rights, including the right to education and freedom of movement.
The third demand refers to the cessation of, as he said, "fascist attacks" on students who want to study. Pavlović emphasized that it is necessary to stop the threats that students will be removed or persecuted, as well as the labeling of students as mentally ill because of their demands for education.
"We are staying here completely legitimately and legally, in one of the parks of our city," concluded Pavlović.
