"We made the decision to stay in Pionirski Park and give the state until June 28 to resolve matters," said the representative of the group "Students who want to learn" on Tuesday. Milos Pavlovic.
And if he doesn't solve them, that is. if they are not allowed to attend university classes unhindered, then they will inevitably, just like that, really enter hunger strike.
"Ćaci" abandoned the hunger strike that they had announced for June 1 with the same demand at the request of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, whom they "immeasurably appreciate and respect". The formal head of SNS, Miloš Vučević, also asked them to stop doing work that was dangerous to their health, but they did not pay much attention to him.
Gaining time
Pavlović and the team postponed the play about the hunger strike because nothing was resolved on June 1, because the solution is still not in sight, so they would hardly be able to fulfill their promise.
In the end, it would turn out that "good students are starving", and Vučić is powerless to listen to their demands, to satisfy their cries.
The hunger strike was postponed also because the whole idea seemed rather comical and implausible, even within the progressive electorate.
Vidovdan is far enough away, so with the new date, time has been gained, a way out of the absurd situation has been reached, and by then everyone will forget about the "threat" of the students through self-sacrifice - if the government does not establish teaching at the faculties, which it certainly hopes for, it is working hard to put an end to the blockades of the University.
Knowledge is power, knowledge is power
Pavlović also said at the press conference in Pionirski Park that "it is not a joke, a political performance, but the last step" in their "fight against injustice", that hunger strike that they postponed regardless of all that injustice.
He announced that in the coming period there will be more activities in Pionirski Park, lectures and visits, "because knowledge does not know about the walls of the amphitheater".
Pavlović condemned the attack on the professor at the Faculty of Law, saying that such behavior is unacceptable and that it "casts a shadow" on the entire academic community.
While such incidents are happening, said Obercaci, students who want to study are prevented from entering the faculties, "and the doors are opened for those who commit violence."
"Do you understand the absurd situation we are in? What message does this selective justice send and we ask the question who is actually blocking education today," asked Pavlovic.

The bad news for the citizens of Belgrade is that Pionirski Park remains occupied until further notice.
