According to the information provided by the MUP, the police detained four people on suspicion of planning to assassinate the President of Serbia and members of his family. There is talk of operational knowledge of the security services, seized weapons and "serious intentions".
Before the public gathered and the institutions provided additional information, the first line of defense was set up and criticism of the way the mainstream media reported on this began.

Brnabić assessed that such reporting is a continuation of the campaign of "dehumanization of the president", which, in her words, could lead to someone "really picking up a gun".

Both of them are suspected of arranging a violent change in the constitutional order of the Republic of Serbia and the overthrow of the highest state authorities in the period from December 2025 to February 2026.
The arrest was made by members of the Criminal Police Directorate (UKP), headed by Marko Krichak, the former commander of the JZO.
The alleged assassins were colluding, the MUP officially claims, the acquisition of weapons and an attack on the life and body of the President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, his wife and children, in such a way that they would be deprived of their lives, as well as an attack on members of the MUP of the Republic of Serbia, in such a way that the MUP would caused bodily harm.
According to the MUP, the action was carried out in cooperation with members of the Security and Information Agency, and was engaged by the Criminal Police Directorate - Crime Suppression Service and police officers of the Kraljevo Police Department. The MUP also attached a video of the arrest.
