Between caution and hope

It is dangerous if someone with little or no translation experience starts relying solely on ChatGPT. Nothing can replace the experience of learning the translation craft, and that means translation experience. A chatbot won't teach you anything. It makes sense to use it only if You already know how to translate.. Otherwise, the damage can be two-fold: the translation will be bad, and the translator will not even be able to recognize that it is bad because he did not learn anything in the translation process
