Mythologizing and dissolution of the city
There is a danger that the new wave of interest in Dorćol and its never-enough-described heritage will in fact never reveal the "secret" that this part of the city carries with it - but destroy it. In the last couple of years, old buildings are being demolished again, what was is being torn apart with misunderstanding, and mythologising is irrevocably trampling a cultural phenomenon that has marked Belgrade.
