On the order of the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime, on November 14, the police arrested businessman Miroslav Bogićević from Šabac, the director and owner of the Farmakom MB Concern, at the Belgrade airport while trying to leave the country.
On suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of abuse of the position of a responsible person, in addition to Bogićević, the president of the credit committee of Privredna banka Beograd, Miodrag Salaj, was arrested, as well as five other persons, among whom is the financial director of "Farmakom", and the rest are members of the credit committee of Privredna banka, he learns. Several media outlets reported that the prosecution suspects that Bogićević and the others committed a criminal offense by enabling Privredna banka Beograd AD Belgrade to grant loans to companies whose guarantor was "Concern Farmakom MB", and that the Ministry of Interior states that this was done in order for those companies to transfer the funds from the received loans in the form of a loan on the same day to "Concern Farmakom MB" as to the end user, and all with the intention of obtaining property benefits for "Concerna Farmakom MB", to the detriment of "Privredna banka Beograd".
Those loans were not returned to "Privredna banka Beograd", which damaged it for 15.140.000 euros and 60 million dinars, i.e. 1.757.246.348 dinars, for which the guarantor "Koncerna Farmakom MB" Šabac was benefited, according to the statement of the MUP.
According to these sources, Bogićević owes banks more than 400 million euros, suppliers more than five billion, that he damaged Privredna banka Beograd for 15.140.000 euros and 60.000.000 dinars, i.e. 1.757.246.348 dinars, for which the guarantor benefited. Concern Farmakom MB" Šabac.

Politika writes that the investigation revealed information and business documents that indicate that Bogićević, as the owner and legal representative of the concern "Farmakom MB" from Šabac, organized a group of 23 people identified for now, and they are employees of the company. It is suspected that on the basis of fictitious claims from "Farmakom MB" they withdrew loans from commercial banks, and that, based on the contract, it was evident that there was no creditworthiness to settle the obligations and that there was a risk of loss due to credit placement, and that it is suspected that they had the intention of causing damage to Privredna banka Beograd, Jubmes banka, Srpska banka, Agrobanka and Poštanska štedionica in the amount of more than 70 million euros, and that in the purchase business promissory note of the "Farmakom MB" concern caused damage to Jubmes Bank and Poštanska štedionica in excess of 10 million euros.

On 25 November, the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime heard and launched an investigation against Miroslav Bogićević, Miodrag Salaj, Aleksandra Janković, Vera Medić, Predrag Tošić, Dušan Vujadinović and Olivera Đorđević due to the well-founded suspicion that during the approval of a total of 11 loans from June 10 to the end in March 2012 obtained illegal property benefits from the "Farmakom MB" concern in the amount of 2013 billion 1 million dinars. The Acting Director of the Tax Administration of Serbia, Marko Marinković, stated that the control of the Farmakom MB company owned by Miroslav Bogićević and all related companies is still ongoing, and estimated that the work will be completed in a few weeks. Speaking about large tax debtors, he cited the example of the companies "Monus" and "Invej" of Predrag Ranković Peconi, from whom nearly nine million euros in taxes were recently collected.

Bogićević was born on October 5, 1953 in Šabac, graduated from the Higher Administrative School in Sarajevo, and got his first job in 1973 at the Health Insurance Fund. He moved into private business in 1992, and started with pharmacies, then trade and production.
