Jat Airways ad is the national airline of Serbia. It deals with the transportation of passengers and goods in regular and charter traffic, training of flight and other aviation personnel, rental of spare capacity and related activities.
Jat operates with 14 aircraft: 10 Boeing 737-300 and 4 ATR 72. It flies to more than 30 Euro-Mediterranean destinations, and provides its passengers with connections with the whole world on joint flights with the world's most prestigious airlines.
It is the successor of the Air Transport Company "Aeroput", founded on June 17, 1927. On April 01, 1947, Yugoslav Aerotransport was born from "Aeroput", which changed its name to Jat Airways on August 08, 2003. Jat has been a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) since 1961 and the Association of European Air Carriers (AEA) since 1971. In 2005, it was among the first companies to be awarded the IOSA certificate for traffic safety by IATA.

JAT planes transported passengers within Yugoslavia, to many cities in Europe and on transoceanic flights to America and Australia.
Since 2000, the company is divided into several units, "Jat" loses the airports in which it invested in Belgrade, Podgorica and Tivat, catering, technology, hotels are separated, and large assets acquired in the past are sold.
"Jat" has been continuously in debt since the 250s, with over XNUMX million euros in loans.
There are currently 1.200 workers, of which, according to estimates, as many as 800 are redundant.
