Čedomir Jovanović
To the President of the Liberal Democratic Party
I am resigning from the post of president of the Political Council of the Liberal Democratic Party due to disagreement with the statement that Čedomir Jovanović made in the Parliament of Serbia, in the form of a parliamentary question, on March 22, 2011. I believe that his position on Libya and the intervention of Western allies is not in accordance with the party's policy on Serbia's integration into the EU and NATO. The claim that "now we should be Obama's clowns" cannot be accepted, and even less that the representatives of the African countries visited by Vuk Jermić are called "cannibals".
I am asking the party authorities not to look for any background reasons behind this resignation in relation to the ones I presented in the text of the resignation.
