Most of what happened in 2023 can be summed up in one sentence - it didn't happen again. It was a year in which two mass murders took place in less than 24 hours, a year of mass protests, inflation, regime propaganda... 1. Air Serbia does not know where the plane that took off from Belgrade this morning is
At the end of June, the flight to London, which included four unaccompanied children, was diverted to Prague. Air Serbia told the "Vremena" portal that they have no official information about that flight. Read the full text.
2. China's turn is a sign of mistrust in Serbia
After the Government of Serbia tried to agree on a rescheduling of its obligations to Chinese creditors, and the partners from Beijing were not interested in any concessions, economists interpret this move as very unexpected.

5. Five doctors arrested: Wrote prescriptions without the patients' knowledge
By order of the Public Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime, and in cooperation with SBPOK, five doctors were arrested on suspicion of damaging the RFZO for 77 dinars.
It is about two related organized criminal groups that operated in the period from November 22, 2018 to July 22, 2021, one of which consisted of doctors, four of them, from the Donja Gušterica Health Center, and the other of seven pharmacists , from Belgrade, Kragujevac and Sremska Mitrovica. 6. Public transport: "Whites" have no right to ask for your mobile phone
It depends solely on the good will of the citizens, whether they will show the members of the communal militia, whom the mayor of Belgrade Aleksandar Šapić gave the name "Beli" and the role of controller in public city transport, an SMS message confirming whether they bought a ticket for driving through the number 9011.

7. Death on the way to the "Serbia of Hope": Momčilo doesn't have to do anything anymore
Momčilo Vučković from the village of Donja Budriga in Kosovo died at the age of 43, on Tuesday afternoon, in the Clinical Center in Pristina. He suffered a fatal head injury on the way to the meeting of the Serbian Progressive Party in Belgrade called "Serbia of Hope".
He spent the last four days of his life in a coma. Brain surgery didn't help. It was too late. Read the full text.
8. Public transport: This is how the ticket is paid from now on
Since May, citizens of Belgrade have been able to pay for city transport with SMS messages. A time ticket that lasts 90 minutes costs 50 dinars in the A and B zones, and 100 dinars for the C zone, which combines these two. A daily ticket for A and B zones is 120 dinars, and for both 150. A monthly ticket for A and B zones costs 2.200, and for both 3.300 dinars. Read the full text.
9. The school refused to work according to the guidelines of the Ministry of Education
After the beginning of the new school year, the administration of a school in Serbia announced that it does not want to work according to the guidelines of the Ministry of Education.
The members of the Teachers' Council of the Gymnasium in Čačak said that they refuse to participate in the banalization and trivialization of their calling. They emphasized in the press release that the responsibility lies with society and the state, not with teachers and parents, who were not asked anything.
