The chosen ones Dejan Stanković they used this chance very easily, and for the third time this season they beat Partizan, the second time with a score of 3:0, and thus defended the title last night (April 27).

This was the first season, since 1998 when Obilić was the champion, that Zvezda managed to defeat Partizan three times in the same season.
After this match, Zvezda has 82 points, seventeen more than Partizan, who will focus all their efforts on the fight for second place against Vojvodina, which brings qualification for the Europa League.
By the end of the season, Dejan Stanković's team will attack another cup, the one in the Serbian Cup, and the rival in the semi-finals will be Jedinstvo from Ub. The red and white won the Cup trophy five times in a row.
A season to forget
It seemed at the beginning of the football season that this Partizan team could upset Zvezda. Partizan played well, not only in the domestic championship, but also in Europe, although in the end there was no placement in the same, the focus was shifted to the championship.
Relegation from the Serbian Cup against the second division team Macva started to cause nervousness, but the situation in the table was good for the black and whites, they were on top.
Personnel changes, numerous events in the club and problems with the UEFA license, however, shook the club, which took the title of autumn champion ahead of Crvena zvezda.
Before the spring part of the season, Dejan Stanković, a former red and white player, took over the team and eventually led it to the title.

Zvezda has not had a suitable rival in the Serbian league for years, Partizan only on two occasions, if this season can be counted, gave some hints that it could enter the race for the title of Serbian champion.
The biggest opportunity for the black and whites was in the 2021/2022 season when they were also autumn champions, but they maintained their great form, under coach Aleksandar Stanojević, until the end of the season, so the championship title was decided in the last round. Zvezda took the cup with only two points advantage.
This season, as things stand, will end up in the "forgettable" category, since the black and whites were left without a place in Europe, without a good result in the Cup and, in the end, far from the biggest rival in the table.
Things returned to their place in Croatia
As Zvezda dominates Serbian football, Dinamo Zagreb rules Croatian football. The Zagreb club won the 26th Croatian championship title in the year in which it celebrates its 115th birthday.
Like Zvezda, Dinamo reached the title four rounds before the end of the championship, with 15 points more than the second-placed Hajduk from Split, its biggest rival.
Since Croatia's independence in 1991, Hajduk has won only six titles, the last in the 2004/05 season. Since then, only Rijeka managed to reach the throne on two occasions ahead of Dinamo Zagreb, which was the case last season.
Both Zvezda and Dinamo have a chance to reach the 'double crown' this season, as they are also in the running for national cups.
