What has been circulating on social networks since last night has now been published in the Official Gazette: The Government of Serbia has appointed Dragoslav Bokan for the President of the Board of Directors of the National Theatre.
So, as it says, the Government of Serbia passes a Decision appointing Dragoslav Bokan, former film director, leading right-wing supporter of the progressive government, wartime commander of the "White Eagles" paramilitary formation, who was convicted on two occasions - in 1997 and 2009, only to be acquitted, as he later stated, as the president of the Board of Directors of the most important national theater. As Istinomer announced, he was sentenced to four and a half years in prison at the first trial, and one year at the second. In the explanation of the verdict, it was attributed to him that he organized and assisted the robbery of Đorđević and his family. He later stated that the verdict was annulled first by the Supreme Court, and later by the Court of Appeal, but that the media did not announce it.

Sessions of the Government of Serbia are held on Thursdays. There was no information on the website of the Government of Serbia as to whether it will be held on June 19. According to information from the National Theater, the session was postponed to Saturday, June 21.
The members of the Board of Directors of the National Theater are elected by the Government of Serbia. The Government informed the National Theater about the new composition of the Board of Directors yesterday.
The Management of the National Theater did not want to comment on this news for "Vreme", considering that the composition of their Management Board depends on the Government of Serbia.
It is not known why the previous Board of Directors, whose president was Filip Bojić, was dissolved. Filip Bojić's mandate will expire in October.
