Zoran Stefanović is a playwright with a degree from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. He has been the president of the Association of Playwrights of Serbia since September 2022, although this has not been updated on the Association's website.

Molina Widovicki Fotez, the current artistic director of Drama, confirmed this information for "Vreme".

Zoran Stefanović's biography was published when he was appointed president of the Playwrights Association.
He was born in Loznica in 1969. year. He is a drama writer and screenwriter, cultural worker, producer, researcher. He graduated in dramaturgy at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade in 1994. During his study stay in the United States in 1990, he studied cultural management and Hollywood screenwriting. He is a doctoral candidate in the theory of dramatic arts, media and culture at FDU. He is one of the founders of the organized production of film fiction in Serbia, starting at FDU (1990), as well as of post-Yugoslav dramaturgy and theater in Macedonia and Serbia thanks to the play "Slovenian Orpheus" from 1992. The Italian encyclopedia D'Agostini included him among the most significant Serbian playwrights of the post-Yugoslav period.
His artistic works have been performed, shown and translated in ten European countries, the United States of America and Malaysia. For about thirty years, he has been the editor and publisher of hundreds of plays and other related literature, especially in the projects "One Hundred Dramas to the End of the Century of Literary Words" in 1994-2000. and "Contemporary Serbian drama of the Rastko Project" at the beginning of 1997. As a researcher, he publishes professional and scientific works in monographs, international magazines and anthologies. He is a member of several artistic and scientific associations in the world. He has been cooperating intensively with the Association of Dramatists of Serbia since 1997. He has received about fifty awards and recognitions for his artistic, cultural and research work.
By the way, the Association of Playwrights that he leads has around 130 members, and by the decision of the Government of Serbia, it received the status of a representative association, but for - publishing, not for the protection of playwrights.
