God save us, what? we watch from 18 to 19 o'clock tonight. One hour, President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, Prime Minister of Serbia Milos Vucevic and the President of the National Assembly, Ana Brnabić, kept us riveted to the screens, because they promised to tell us something important. In order not to trouble the readers, let's get straight to the specifics, we'll comment later.
Of the concrete things, Vučić announced a pardon from criminal prosecution of activists and citizens who were arrested and charged from November 6 to today, for participating in the protests after the fall of the canopy in Novi Sad. The Prime Minister said that there will be a reconstruction of the government and invited rectors, professors and "authorized representatives of students" to come to the Government of Serbia for dialogue, in order to get out of the crisis.
Ana Brnabić did not say anything important.
What is Vučić up to again?
Now, how lucky is it that it was this short. President Vučić exported himself on a standard rollercoaster, in which he is a little good, a little bad policeman. First, he clarified the students' requests one by one, all pretending to be a good soul. He killed himself and everyone around him by listing the documents on the reconstruction of the Railway Station in Novi Sad that have been published so far, and the one he has not justified so far is that it is not related to a criminal act.
Stop, friend, no one asked you for only the documentation related to the criminal act, they asked for all the documentation. And it was not requested from Vučić, so again we have to ask what he has to do with this protest and what he is advertising, and especially, where did he get the idea that he is fulfilling the demands.
According to the president, part of the documentation does not exist because the building is not finished. And why did they ceremoniously open it several times when it wasn't finished on that creepy November 1st?
Furthermore, the president announced that he will grant pardons, but that he does not like to grant pardons, because who is he to decide on that... He is literally one of the few people who has the right to decide on that, because his pardons are among the eight competences prescribed to him by the Constitution. It is numbered 7 in the Constitution. But we know that Vučić prefers everything, but everything, to sticking to constitutional powers and what he is responsible for. Not for this.
Vučević's hand of reconciliation
Miloš Vucevic rolled the same thing several times. Therefore, rectors, professors and authorized representatives of students should contact him, come to a dialogue, to talk, to get out of the crisis. You know what, Prime Minister... There is nothing to come to you for. In particular, there is no reason for student representatives to come. We've been playing this madness for 12 years and know every eater you're up for. We know that you want to find or invent student leaders, so that you can destroy their lives and health through the tabloids and BIA. Your hand of atonement is bloody up to the elbow.
And we don't give you students.
The student demands are clear, they cannot be clearer and they boil down to one thing: that the institutions do their job. There can be no negotiation, conversation or dialogue about that. That should go without saying. And you, you killed every dialogue in this country, you systematically killed it and now you invite someone to a dialogue. With what right?
You are no longer in charge. The students did. Your hand of reconciliation is bloody up to the elbow, and that's why you won't even touch the students with it.
