Foreign Assets Control Office (OFAK) at the US Ministry of Finance extended the oil company's operating license Lukoil outside Russia until October 29th.
Until October 29, the license is valid for about 2.000 Lukoil pumps throughout Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East and America, the US Ministry of Finance announced, as reported by RTS.
US President Donald Trump (Donald Trump) imposed sanctions on Lukoil and Rosneft, the two largest Russian oil companies, in October last year, which sparked interest from potential buyers of Lukoil's international assets, estimated at $22 billion.
The previous license was issued on March 31 with a validity period of May 1.
In October 2025, the US Treasury included Lukoil, Rosneft and 34 subsidiaries of those oil producers in a new package of US sanctions.
