Heating season it started on Tuesday, October 15, and ends on April 15. However, this information is important for those who have a remote control installed in their houses and apartments heating.
The others have the advantage of being able to heat when they want, although considering the heating prices, it might be better to say - when they can. Because, according to the data of the Energy Agency, depending on the heating method, a warm apartment in this winter season will cost the average household up to 200.000 dinars, it says. New economy.
Those who will be heated by electricity with heating elements and boilers for floor heating will have to pay that much, and it is the most expensive way of heating this season.
Households that use TA stoves will have costs of 81.700 dinars, but only if cheaper night electricity is exclusively used to charge the stove. Recharging the furnace using more expensive electricity only for two hours a day increases costs by 40 percent, so that they amount to 113,6 thousand dinars.
On the other hand, households that use wood will be the cheapest to heat this winter, the prices of which have fallen by five to seven percent compared to the previous heating season, according to data from the Energy Agency of Serbia. While last year wood heating cost from 56.000 to 93.000 dinars, this year it is noticeably cheaper.
Thus, in parts of Serbia where wood can be purchased at lower prices (for example, for 6.300 dinars per cubic meter), households that have more energy-efficient stoves will have to spend about 53.000 dinars for heating, while those households that use more expensive firewood will have a heating bill of about 87.700 dinars.
A possible increase in the price of pellets
Households using pellets will have costs of 65.000 dinars, which is 23 percent less compared to the previous heating season. Whether the situation will remain the same as the Agency's calculations now show, remains to be seen, because the Government of Serbia has renewed the decree on the ban on the import of pellets, which should mean that the price of pellets will not fall further, and it is possible that it will rise.
The cost of heating using natural gas this season is the same as the previous one - 59.500 dinars, which is only 6.500 dinars more expensive than the most affordable heating using wood, but therefore much more comfortable.
Households that will be heated with coal will have to allocate from 75.000 to 77.700 dinars, depending on the type of coal used.
In the end, those who will be heated with gas and fuel oil will have to spend about 137.000 dinars for fuel oil and 165.000 dinars for propane butane gas. Compared to the previous year, the price of heating oil has decreased by 21 percent, while the price of propane butane gas is about six percent higher.
What about the heating plants in Šabac and Bajna Bašta?
Heating plants in Serbia started almost all heating systems today, except in Šabac and Baja Bašta, which, due to the high outside temperature, postponed the start of the heating season, said the director of the Association of Heating Plants Dejan Stojanović, reports "Today".
"Today, when the heating season officially begins, all the production plants have been started, but hot weather can stop the delivery of thermal energy because the substations are set to turn off the heating when the outside temperature is 14-15 degrees Celsius," Stojanović said.
He added that, although heating plants are technically ready for heating, home installations can also cause problems.
He stated that the heating plant in Bečej had financial problems, which made it difficult to procure gas, then the heating plants in Vrbas, Senta and Jagodina.
The private partner of the heating plant in Vrbas suspended the supply of thermal energy, because it cannot charge for the service and unblock its account, which was blocked by Srbijagas due to debt.
According to Stojanović, the financial problems that caused the account of that and the heating plants in Senta and Jagodina to be blocked "will be resolved".
District heating prices are up by 30 percent
In Serbia, according to data from the Ministry of Mining and Energy, heating plants use natural gas, fuel oil and coal as primary energy sources for the production of thermal energy, while biomass accounts for about 2,5 percent in the production of thermal energy from their own production systems.
This heating season, district heating prices will be 30 percent higher in some places.
Heating through the Belgrade electric power plants will be more expensive by about nine percent, so for billing according to consumption, the price for residential space will be 7,33 dinars per kilowatt hour instead of 7,75 dinars, without value added tax.
The situation has changed in other places as well, so heating in Majdanpek has become more expensive from 105 dinars to 125 dinars, including VAT.
The heating plant in Čačak has increased the fixed part of the price, which includes operating costs, while the variable part, which depends on consumption and participates with 70 percent of the price in the total price, has been reduced, so whoever has the same consumption as last year, his bill will be despite the price increase, it will be three to four percent lower, they said in that heating plant.
The Subotica heating plant increased the variable part of the price by 9,7 percent, and the fixed part by about 19 percent.
In Niš, only the fixed part of the price increased by 27,06 percent, while the price of the variable part decreased by 8,89 percent. In Kruševac, heating is 20 percent more expensive, in Kragujevac by 15,6 percent.
The heating plant in Bor increased the price of heating by 1 percent on April 30, because they say it has not been adjusted since 2019. It is almost as much more expensive since July 1 in Majdanpek, which has not changed the price of heating in the last two years.
In Kruševac, heating is 20 percent more expensive, in Kragujevac by 15,6 percent.
Heating only became cheaper in Sremska Mitrovica by ten percent.
