The oil industry of Serbia (NIS) submitted a request for a new one license for work at the US Ministry of Finance, reports RTS.
Office for the Control of Foreign Assets of the Ministry of Finance SAD (OFAK - Office of Foreign Assets Control) issued an operating license to the Serbian Oil Industry in March, which expires on April 17.
Therefore, NIS has now applied for a new work license.
The American administration, by the way, extended the license for negotiations to Gazprom Neft and MOL on the sale of Russian majority ownership in the company until May 22.
OFAK imposed sanctions on NIS on October 9, 2025 precisely because of its majority Russian ownership.
