Average plata in Serbia, for August 2025, it amounted to 105.590 dinars. However, in as many as 32 municipalities in Serbia, wages were below 80.000 dinars, and the lowest were recorded in Bojnik and Preševo - just over 72.000 dinars, N1 announced.
About 1,18 million citizens of Serbia received a salary of less than 83.535 dinars in August. Namely, that is what the so-called amounts to medial earnings - the one "exactly in the middle", which means that half of the 2,37 million employed citizens earn below that amount, and half above.
Although the average salary in Serbia - which in August 2025 amounted to 105.590 dinars - is unattainable for most citizens, for some the medial income is unattainable as well.
In as many as 32 municipalities in Serbia, the average salary was less than 80.000 dinars.

Lowest paid jobs
When it comes to average earnings per employee, by field of activity, the worst situation is in the industry of preparing and serving food and drinks, where the average salary in August was barely 60.932 dinars. This is followed by an average salary of 63.937 dinars - in the field of repairing computers and items for personal and household use.
Only slightly more than that is recorded by the activity of wood processing and products made of wood, cork, straw and wicker, except for furniture, where the average salary was 64.357 dinars.
However, there is also an activity where the average salary in August was less than 60.000 dinars - official statistics include it under "other personal service activities" with an average salary of 59.097 dinars.
There are ten other activities where the average salary does not reach RSD 80.000.
Thus, in the field of fishing and aquaculture, the average salary is 71.728 dinars, and in the production of leather and leather goods 73.095 dinars.
In retail trade, the average salary is 74.810 dinars.
The activity of travel agencies, tour operators, reservation services and accompanying activities recorded 74.997 dinars; Building and environment maintenance services, 75.607 dinars; 76.155 dinars in land transport and pipeline transport; Protective and investigative activities RSD 76.243; Veterinary activity 76.658 dinars; Social security with accommodation 76.874 dinars; Sports, entertainment and recreational activities 77.507 dinars.
The highest salary and the best paid activity
The best paid activity is still computer programming, consulting and related activities with an average August net salary of 285.244 dinars.
The municipality where the employees with the highest salaries work is Belgrade's Stari Grad, where the average salary of 180.045 dinars was recorded in August.
