The fires on Stolovi near Kraljevo and in Deliblatska peščara are currently under control, but the danger of their spreading again still exists
Fire on the Stolovi mountain near Kraljevo is under control after almost a month and the last defense line of five kilometers has been established, reported Radio-television Of Serbia (RTS).
The commander of the Kraljevo Fire and Rescue Brigade, Pero Luković, told RTS that the last line of defense was established from the top of Čikera to the river Maglašnica, about five kilometers long.
There are about 25 firefighters with 10 vehicles on the ground, and they are assisted by volunteer fire brigades and "Srbijašum" workers.

Crews are entering the cut where there are burnt trees that are being cut down, as it could contribute to the re-spread of the fire.
"I hope that we will localize and liquidate the fire very quickly, but we will not return from the field until we put out every smoke on Mount Stolovi," said Luković.

Firefighters do not leave their duty stations, and it happens that thermal cameras detect smoke that is difficult to find in the field. The terrain is also recorded with drones.
RHMZ calls for caution
Although the fires are currently under control, the Republic Hydrometeorological Institute warns that there are extreme conditions for the initiation and spread of fires in the open air.
The high temperature, accompanied by a deficit of precipitation and occasionally increased wind, will continue to contribute to the drying of vegetation and the pronounced danger of fire initiation and spread in the open air.
