At exactly 10 o'clock, truck driver Milomir Jaćimović started a hunger strike in front of Banovina in Novi Sad. He is asking the government to return his buses, cancel the senseless fines and stop harassing him for transporting students to protests
"It's not just me and my son anymore, but also my drivers and their families. We don't have any more vehicles, what can we do now? I have to pay my obligations to the state, it's a shame to say that, but I'm a dead man. I decided on this, because I don't have much choice. We don't have a state, we have a corrupt government with Aleksandar Vučić at the head," Jaćimović told N1.
Let us remind you that yesterday in Novi Sad, citizens and students protested in support of the carrier Jaćimović.
The citizens first gathered in front of the Novi Sad Police Department, which is why the intersection of Bulevar oslobodenja and Ulica Pavla Papa was blocked for a while.
They then walked to MAS, where they blocked the platforms of the bus station and the intersection near the railway station. The blockade lasted about an hour and ended at 16 pm.
During the previous months, Milomir Jaćimović was detained on several occasions, and on that occasion his buses were also confiscated.
He was detained in Žablje on Friday for disturbing public order and peace.
Milomir Jaćimović's only sin is that he decided to transport students to the protests for free, which he has the right to do as a representative of the company.
