According to information from N1 and Nova, Danijela Sinani, dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, was attacked from behind by a man, when he hit him in the back of the head and pushed him, and then ran away. The attack took place not far from the Faculty of Philosophy, in Čika Ljubina Street, and an eyewitness told Nova.rs that the attacker also stole his wallet.
"Sinani fell to the floor from the weight of the blow. His wallet fell out, which the attacker took," says Nova.rs' interlocutor.
According to Nova, the attacker was detained.
The dean was harassed by regime tabloids and television. In the show "Good Morning, Serbia", Milomir Marić once felt the need to delve into Professor Sinani's last name and elaborate on his public role, wondering whether Sinani was Albanian or perhaps a Goranian.
At that time, Sinani was the vice-dean for finance of the Faculty of Philosophy, as well as the president of the National Committee for the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Serbia.
Students of the Faculty of Philosophy: We stand by our dean
Students of this faculty wrote that the normalization of violence must be prevented.
"The deans, professors, students and the rest of the academic community are not just "blockers" and cannot identify with all the derogatory and insulting labels that the regime and their supporters have attributed to them in the last almost two years," they wrote.
