The educational work of the Experimental Elementary School "Vladislav Ribnikar" in the 2024/2025 school year. will be organized in the existing space of the school, until the decision of Fr Memorial Center and the beginning of construction works on the reconstruction of the school, stated the Minister of Education Slavica Đukić Dejanović
Đukić Dejanović stated that this decision was made after a survey conducted among parents and employees of the school, through which 97 percent of them declared that they wanted the school to remain in the existing building until construction works began.
She thanked the parents and employees for taking part in making decisions that are important for the school and students. As she stated, it is very important for students and employees that the beginning of the next year be fully known.
This is especially important for the champions and their parents who will start this school in the fall in order to achieve their maximum potential through learning and playing, said Đukić Dejanović.
Dialogue about the Memorial Center
The minister emphasized that everyone is facing a complex process and that with further consultations and a broad dialogue about the Memorial Center, a solution will be reached. Đukić Dejanović reminded that the Working Group for the establishment of the Memorial Center was formed in memory of the victims of the mass murder at the "Vladislav Ribnikar" Model Elementary School, which directs and coordinates the activities for the establishment of that center.
The working group, in relation to the needs of the families of crime victims and the wider community, and based on previous consultations and received information, will propose concrete measures that should be taken regarding the establishment of the Memorial Center.
