Macedonian singer Daniel Kajmakoski was vinegar tonight in Belgrade, while he was in his car near the Concrete Hall. Unknown perpetrators tied him up and then continued to drive in his vehicle, demanding redemption of 20.000 euros.
Blic writes that the drama started in Karađorđeva Street in Belgrade, when the police tried to stop a suspicious white "Volvo XC 60". The driver disobeyed the order, broke through the police blockade and continued to flee at high speed towards the Branko Bridge.
The chase continued through Novi Beograd, after which the vehicle turned onto the highway in the direction of Šid. Elite units of the MUP, including UKP, SAJ and Gendarmerie, participated in the action.
The pursuit ended after the Šimanovci tollbooth, at the turn-off for Ruma, when the Volvo driver lost control and hit the guardrail. The two armed attackers managed to escape before the police arrived. Members of the UKP found Kajmakoski tied up in the car.
During their escape, they headed towards Ruma, where members of the traffic police tried to stop them. On that occasion, the vehicle hit an embankment, after which the suspects got out of the car and fled in an unknown direction.
According to available information, Daniel Kajmakoski was released and his life is not in danger.
MUP confirms kidnapping
In a statement, the MUP confirmed the kidnapping of the Macedonian singer. It is stated that the police, after the pursuit, stopped the mentioned vehicle on the territory of Ruma.
According to the MUP, Kajmakoski was found in the vehicle with his hands tied, and the kidnappers managed to leave the vehicle and drive away in an unknown direction.
The victim was taken care of, an investigation was carried out at the scene, and police officers continued the search for the perpetrators, the MUP announced.
The higher public prosecutor's office in Belgrade qualified the criminal offense of kidnapping, and intensive work on further elucidation of the criminal offense is ongoing, it is added.

According to Milanka Rašić, who spoke with Kajmakoski this morning, the singer is fine and is now at home after spending the night in the police.
According to confirmed information, the police are intensively searching for unknown perpetrators, foreign nationals, who tied up Kajmakoski and drove him in his car, demanding a ransom of 20.000 euros.
It was stated that after being released by the police, Kajmakoski spent several hours in the police station, where he gave a statement to the authorities.
From a short conversation with the singer, as stated by his PR, one got the impression that he behaved extremely calmly and bravely during the abduction. Due to the interest of the police investigation, Kajmakoski will not make public statements at this time.
