Although the preparation and adoption of planning documents are among the most important processes for realizing public interest in every community, the level of transparency in our country is still not at an enviable level; citizens and businessmen do not have adequate mechanisms to get involved in making these decisions, or even to be informed about them. Comments and objections during public inspection can only be submitted in writing in the office or at the counter of the local self-government, and notices about it, just for the sake of form, are advertised in newspapers and on portals that are not followed by many.

Molotov cocktail in February

Earlier, on the night between February 4 and 5, around two hours after midnight, an explosive device was thrown at Jeri's restaurant. A hand grenade was thrown at the entrance to the facility. As a result of the explosion, the windows of that and the neighboring objet were damaged and more material damage was caused. There were no injured persons. After the attack on this, but also on several well-known Belgrade restaurants and cafes, the police, in cooperation with the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office, carried out an operation in February in which a group suspected of extortion and throwing explosive devices at bars whose owners did not agree to pay the racket was arrested.

According to the investigators' suspicions, members of the group visited restaurants, companies and businessmen for months, posing as people close to the so-called witch doctor clan and offering them "protection" with monetary compensation. On that occasion, the alleged organizer of the group, Aleksandar A, known by the nickname Kravica, who is suspected of coordinating the extortion of bar owners throughout Belgrade, was arrested. As previously announced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the suspects asked the owners of catering establishments for money in advance, promising to protect them from criminal groups. Those who agreed to cooperate, according to the investigation, paid certain sums on a monthly basis, while the premises of those who refused to pay were allegedly the target of arson and attacks with explosive devices.

In addition to this shooting, several bars were set on fire last night in the capital. Blic reports that last night a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a bar owned by Vuk Bajrušević. Bajrušević is known to the public as a victim of the kidnapping of the "Zemun clan" in the early 2000s. By the way, just a few months ago, he was targeted by an armed attacker in the same building. An unknown person approached the bar, activated the inflammable mixture and threw it at the building, after which the flames engulfed part of the interior. Fire brigades immediately came to the scene and localized and extinguished the fire, preventing the fire from spreading to the surrounding buildings. Fortunately, there were no injuries in the incident, but considerable material damage was caused. The police carried out an investigation, the footage from the security cameras that recorded the attacker was released, and the investigation into the motive for this attack is ongoing. Portal Republika reports that last night Molotov cocktails were thrown at the famous restaurant "Babaroga" in Severno boulevard, as well as at the popular witch doctor's bar "New York". The same portal also reports that a bar in Čumićevo sokačet, which is allegedly owned by a Russian citizen, was set on fire, as well as that the windows of the Vinoteca in Vračar were broken.
