When you have the mechanisms of illegitimate power at your disposal, at some point you will cross the line and do terrible things just to prove - if only to yourself - that you are not ridiculous
It sounds seemingly quite logical that dictators and authoritarian rulers are not prone to sentimentality and moods typical of "weepers", such as, for example, nostalgia. They have neither reason nor time for it, for them every new day is a new joy in messing up other people's lives. We are not counting here on a situation in which they lose power, and survive socially and physically. Then they are also nostalgic for the time of their god-and-beating, but as people of action, even then they will not indulge in mere lamentation, but will look at how to return to power. If they succeed in this, they are usually even more unbearable in the rerun than in the premiere, because they are driven by the urge to take revenge for the injustice done to them, and any loss of power for them is an injustice of heavenly proportions. One such person will move into a big, white house again in a few days, and may God help us all with him.
How are things with ours? provincial lord? The state of decadence and loosening of the screws that hold it together is visible to the naked eye, and he did not lack a sense of pathos and theatrical self-pity even in some of his much calmer and safer times. Although a part of his personality always strives to prove his macho credibility, he is not of solid enough build to be convincing in this; that pre-pubescent roaming around and infantile reference to his own hooligan skills ("let all five of them come and I'll beat them up") always seemed more funny than scary to him. And that's exactly what's scary: when you have the mechanisms of illegitimate power at your disposal, at some point you'll cross the line and do terrible things just to prove - if only to yourself - that you're not funny.
Be that as it may, the illegitimate owner of Serbia is still in the saddle, perhaps more firmly than many think who are carried away by the effects of the first situation in these dozen years in which he was seriously thrown out of balance (here, therefore, I am not talking about internal balance, because that a sad story that is better not to touch), so he certainly has more urgent and smarter things to do than sighing over a "better past": his "better past" is still the present. What is happening all over Serbia is a fight over whether there will be a future.
And yet, I have a theory that there is at least one thing according to which the so-called Vučić is already nostalgic. I bet on a signed copy of Dr. Vojislav Šešelj's book "Sanader's cat Aleksandar Vučić" that you would never guess what I mean! Namely, it is about the cry "Vučić, faggot" that echoed for years not only in sports arenas but also in the so-called oppositional and, in the broader sense of the word, Budji gatherings during the first decade of his reign. Now suddenly he is nowhere to be found (at least on the streets and in colleges, I can't vouch for fan subcultures, but realistically, who cares about them anymore?). Is Vučić suddenly amnestied because of his alleged preference for the same sex?
No joke, Vučić was angered by this "fag" of his personality for a long time, because in the mental world of people like him, it is the worst possible insult. Someone with stronger nerves would not even look back at that side effect of an inarticulate and therefore completely harmless rebellion, but not him: it genuinely affected him, and it was touching to watch: hey, a seemingly grown man...
And then, suddenly and without warning, literally in a fraction of a pro-November second, things got damn serious. A country in which he is not responsible for almost anything, but is asked about almost everything, directly, in front of all of us, killed fifteen of its citizens, mostly young people. Or is "state" no longer the most adequate word, but a corruption-mafiocratic octopus? Whatever it is, it has killed before, these are not its first victims, and they are unlikely to be the last. But never has her murderous nature been so clear and visible. Many realized only with that tragic moment that this is a question of survival: either all of us with our small but only lives, or This without end.
At that point, the infantile insult of "Vučić the fag" becomes senseless, impossible, too obviously too stupid. At the latest, it starts working for him, not against him, and he becomes aware of it. He much prefers incoherent insults from those who are fundamentally similar to him, than mockingly humming "Get out, baby", or outright ignoring, which is an unbearable blow to the ego of any self-righteous person.
That's why I wouldn't be surprised if AV, in addition to organizing the Praetorian Guard, the so-called loyalist, deal with the restoration of the structure of his false opponents and essentially brothers in values and convictions, who would try to take control of the anti-regime narrative again with their idiotic ramblings, which emit only meaninglessness and impotence, and that is exactly what an autocrat needs. For an autocrat begins to truly fall not so much when he loses control over his supporters as when he loses control over his opponents.

According to the Commissioner for Independence of the High Council of Prosecutors, pressure on prosecutors in Serbia comes from various sources, but it seems not from the office of President Aleksandar Vučić. "The avoidance of Commissioner Milan Tkalac to explicitly state his position when it comes to the statements of the President of the Republic is professionally unacceptable," the President of the Association of Prosecutors of Serbia, Lidija Komlen Nikolić, told Vreme. What can the president say without it being understood as interfering with the independence of the judiciary
The progressive government is fighting hand and foot to win in two different places, because they would not dare to look at Aleksandar Vučić if they lose. On the other hand, the rest of Serbia is rooting for them to start from Zaječar and Kosjerić, so that they "go in order" across the country and thus see the backs of those who have been governing in every place, every street and every village for 13 years.
All the members of this body have never been changed. The election of Council members has never taken place in such a heated socio-political atmosphere. Brussels has never been so interested in the course and outcome of this process. Hence so much nervousness, passion and established illegalities for which no one has yet been held accountable
The toll of disobeying the law and high level corruption is rapidly taking an even greater toll. Let's list some cases: part of the ceiling at the Cardiology Clinic in Niš fell, and the ceiling at the Railway Station in Ćuprija also rattled. Previously, a pedestrian crossing bridge near the village of Vlahovo collapsed and a part of the wall at the school in Pećinci collapsed (two girls were slightly injured). There are also collapses of the concrete structure of the overpass on the expressway Požarevac-Veliko Gradište, ceiling falls in the school in Užice, in Saranov near Rača, at the Institute of Public Health in Kragujevac and near the kindergarten "Maja" in New Belgrade. So, all that from November 1 last year until today. It's not enough
While the student marathoners, after 18 days of relay running and 2000 kilometers covered, are talking to EU parliamentarians in Brussels, Vučić is meeting with the president of the European Council. In the background of these two events, the government's evident influence on the judiciary is reflected in two decisions: the extension of the detention of activists from Novi Sad and the requalification of the offense of the woman who hit a student with a car
The Republic of Serbia is in danger. If we remain silent on the rigged process against political prisoners in Novi Sad and the Kraljeva case where the victims were declared violent, soon we will all go on hunger and thirst strikes for a shred of justice
The regime's retaliation will be dire if the resistance falters. Now they want to imprison the people who talked about overthrowing the government because they were supposedly overthrowing the state. But the state was hijacked and overthrown by the regime a long time ago
The Ministry of Public Investment submitted a request for a building permit for the construction of a new building for the Belgrade Philharmonic. Given that it is known that the project is too expensive and that there is no money for it, it seems that this too is just another colorful lie
