From a bohemian city, old taverns with a soul, Belgrade has turned into the Balkan capital of nightlife, but in the form of "fancy" restaurants and luxurious clubs guarded by hordes of guys in black, while the new cream of Serbian society gathers inside. Practically, there is no longer a larger catering facility in the city that is not in some way connected with crime or, ultimately, controversial business, a more sophisticated and cultural term for the former. That transformation, which happened somehow beyond the knowledge and perception of the inhabitants of the capital, gave birth to some new people who today are the links between black cash and luxury. One of them is Aleksandar Kajmaković, known as Aca Bosanac.
Although he has been on the scene for quite some time, his detailed biography is not known to the public. He hides it skillfully, like a snake's legs. Where he came from, what he did before, as well as how and when he came to Belgrade, is unknown. It is only known that he was born in 1974, most likely in Sarajevo. That's why, in addition to the nickname Bosnian, this second one also suits him - a man who appeared out of nowhere.
EARLY WORKS
In recent years, he has been in the public eye several times. Every time a new item in the biography would surface. Thus, according to media reports, the earliest mention of Kajmaković in the chronicle was back in 2002, when, allegedly in Budva, his Mercedes CLK 230 was blown up with an explosive device of great destructive power. A luxurious car in that period. It is not known whether it was an assassination attempt or just a warning, but unresolved accounts from Sarajevo are cited as a potential motive.
In the Belgrade backroom, his name was mentioned for the first time at the beginning of the last decade. Some say that he was a manager, then a tenant, and suddenly became the owner of a restaurant whose value and annual turnover are measured in millions of euros. However, it doesn't quite work out that way. Judging by the fact that Kajmaković had the misfortune of having his car blown up twenty years ago, it seems that he was already active in some kind of underground. Perhaps it was this experience that enabled him to make a dizzying rise in the Belgrade hospitality industry.
Aleksandar Kajmaković is quite active on the social network Instagram. The description lists the bars he owns, a luxurious life through photos and a large number of followers, an allusion that all of this is actually his. The oldest available announcements and photographs on which he is marked indicate that he was part of the "team" of famous Belgrade rafts, such as Porto, which he allegedly owns today. By this "team" is meant a team of managers, promoters and others engaged in night hospitality facilities, who do not have real ownership of these facilities, but earn from a certain percentage. In the photos, you can see people in the company of people who are still mostly managers in more or less the same bars around Belgrade.
However, how exactly did Kajmaković rise to a higher level? It's no secret that many managers are at some point legal representatives of the premises where they work, but it is evident that Aca Bosanac, in terms of importance in screen to work, away from them. At some point, Kajmaković obviously gained the trust of his employer to take everything upon himself. While the idea of the one behind him is to stay in the shadows, Aci Bosanac, judging by his self-promotion on social networks, is quite happy with the "fame".
AND BEHIND ACE BOSNIA...
For a long time, there were rumors in the bazaar that behind Aleksandar Kajmaković was the controversial businessman Predrag Ranković, known as Peconi, known to investigative authorities since the 2003s. According to the White Book of Organized Crime from XNUMX, this current owner of Happy Television started his career with the Surčin clan, mainly in money laundering. He was also arrested in the Saber operation, after the assassination of Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic, but was soon released. While the name of Ace Bosanca still meant nothing to the general public, it was mentioned that a significant part of the more famous Belgrade bars is under the direct or indirect control of Peconi.
The first public connection between these two took place in 2017, after a very unpleasant event for Pecconi at the "Prague" hotel. Namely, according to eyewitnesses, after a short argument, Željko Rutović shot at him, wounding him in the legs. The reason for the settlement was the purchase of the Zemun restaurant "Venecija". The renowned bar with an ideal location on the quay was state-owned until then. A year and a half earlier, it was leased by the company Eureka bar, owned by Aleksandar Kajmaković, for a monthly rent in the amount of one and a half million dinars. When the sale process was initiated, several interested players appeared. Peconi also cast an eye, through Kajmaković, but also Željko Rutović, who apparently demanded that Ranković and Kajmaković withdraw. In the end, everything ended with a showdown, and the restaurant ended up in the hands of a third person.
Predrag Ranković does not get through the papers almost anywhere in the companies he allegedly stands behind. However, the relationship between him and Kajmaković could be seen earlier. Namely, until 2013, Kajmaković was the director of the joint-stock company UP Stari grad Beograd, when he was removed from that position by the largest shareholder, the company City port doo, behind which Peconi stood. In the same year, Kajmaković's Eureka bar bought the Rex cartorama doo company from Peconi's largest group of companies (Invej), with its headquarters at Knez Mihailova 52A, which is the address of one of the "Boutique" restaurants.
RESTAURANTS, CLUBS, TABS AND THEATER
All buildings that Kajmaković officially owns are located in exclusive locations in Belgrade. In Beton hall, there is the Lafayette restaurant and cabaret club, as well as the Temperament restaurant. There is a "Bottega" restaurant in the Galerija shopping center, "Kazin" on the terraces, two "Boutique" restaurants in Knez Mihailova, while the third from the series of the same name is located in New Belgrade, in Milutina Milankovića Street. In Skadarlija, he owns the taverns "Three Hats", "Dva Goluba" and "Zlatni Bokal", of course he also has a raft - "Port".
It is interesting that about two and a half years ago, Kajmaković announced the opening of another building from the "Boutique" series on his Instagram profile. Renovation is already well under way, but it is not known why the project was abandoned. Namely, the bar was supposed to be located on Slavija, within the hotel of the same name, on the platform above the casino. Also, according to the newspaper "Nova", Aca Bosanac was supposed to become the owner of "Bezistan" in the very center of Belgrade in 2019, for which he was allegedly given the green light by the City Assembly. That is, through his company Eureka bar, registered for the activity of preparing and serving drinks, he was supposed to find an "urban solution" for Bezistan. What exactly was planned is not known, but judging by his past business ventures, probably another restaurant and club.
In addition to catering establishments, Kajmaković also owns a luxurious fleet of vehicles. According to media reports, at some point, Maserati, Hummer, and several other jeeps could be found in it.
Most of Kajmaković's business goes through the company Eureka bar doo, founded in 2011. Other companies that were associated with Peconi, and at the same time cooperated with this one, were joined to it at some point. Thus, in December 2020, Eureka acquired City Port doo., thus becoming the largest owner of the joint-stock company UP Beograd Stari grad, in which Kajmaković was a director seven years earlier. In June 2021, Kajmaković's company also acquired Beorest doo Belgrade, and Rex Cartoram in December of the same year.
Recently, Eureka bar doo also bought the Geneks tower, one of the last symbols of Belgrade, at an auction for 2,4 billion dinars.
Through the company Eureka bar doo Kajmaković is also the owner of the company Beojana doo, which is why he has been in the public eye in recent days. Namely, it turned out that this daughter company is the co-owner of more than five hundred square meters of space on Trg Republike, which is used by the "Boško Buha" children's theater. The theater, which has been located there since 1950, when it was founded, temporarily moved out of the premises in 2015 for reconstruction. It never happened due to problems in property-legal relations, so the reconstruction was never even started. On March 2005th of this year, the employees of this theater went public and asked the City to resolve the situation. When the theater was moved out, the space belonged to the City of Belgrade, and "Boško Buha" had the right to use it for an indefinite period. The problem arose two years later, when, allegedly by mistake, the area of the foyer and theater hall was registered in the cadastre by the company "Rubin" Kruševac, and later the ownership was transferred to the company "Butik" Kruševac. The actors believe that this resulted in the alienation of the city's property to which the theater has a right. The Secretariat for Culture has repeatedly requested the Secretariat for Property and Legal Relations to correct the error. However, this has not happened to date. By the way, the owner of "Rubin" from Kruševac became, after privatization in XNUMX, the company Invej Predrag Ranković Peconija.
CONNECTIONS FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE LAW
Aleksandar Kajmaković was detained in February 2021, when members of the Criminal Police Directorate (UKP) raided the "Boutique Trojka" restaurant in New Belgrade. The arrest was carried out rather theatrically, with long lines, and the reason for depriving Ace Bosanca of his freedom was suspicions that he collaborated with Veljko Belivuk.
Although it was speculated at the time that Kajmaković participated in the laundering of Belivuk's money through his bars, no indictment has been brought against him to this day. He was released after several hours of questioning. The media then, citing sources from the investigation, wrote that Kajmaković came to Belivuk through an acquaintance with the then president of the Football Association of Serbia, Slaviš Kokez, who allegedly recommended Velja and Maret to him for securing the bar. Aca Bosanac told the police that since 2017 he had problems with fans breaking into bars, threatening guests and refusing to pay the bill, and that everything stopped when Belivuk's team took over security. He allegedly mostly met Belivuk and Miljković at "Lafayette", but occasionally went to their bunker at the Partizan stadium.
It is also interesting that Kajmaković then allegedly said that he was a "co-owner, manager and director" in dealings with catering facilities, and that he was there with Peconi, whom he called "friend and godfather". He also mentioned his acquaintance with Dijana Hrkalović, who supposedly solved his problem with the Bosnian criminal Darko Elez, because he threatened him. Portal Direktno wrote that Kajmaković then also spoke about the restaurant "Temperament", explaining that he opened it together with Kokez, former Minister of the Interior Nebojša Stefanović and his godfather Aleksandar Papić. That Stefanović is a co-owner of "Temperament" was rumored earlier in the public, but Kajmaković later denied it.
Three months after his arrest, there was a massive fight between fans in Beton Hall, when two bars were broken into. One of them is "Temperament".
From year to year, it seems that the power of Aleksandar Kajmaković is growing. Whether it is only apparent, that is, whether the beasts behind him are only getting stronger, and he with them, is not so important. The fact is that even Aca Bosanac is not as replaceable as it was thought. He has been on the field for a long time, he swims skillfully, and his property only increases. He has avoided several conflicts so far.
