A new meeting between Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Kosovo Prime Minister Aljbin Kurti has been officially scheduled.
The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Policy and Security, Josep Borelj, called for Tuesday, May 2, a high-level meeting within the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina in Brussels.
As not stated, the focus will be on the implementation of the agreement on the path to the normalization of relations.
"The parties are expected to support the Declaration on Missing Persons as the first item on the agenda, which will be followed by a presentation/discussion on the first draft of the statute of the Community of Municipalities with a Serbian majority in Kosovo." The parties will also have the opportunity to discuss current issues of political importance," the statement said.
Again he called Kurti a Gauleiter
Aleksandar Vučić told the representatives of the authorities in Pristina not to dream that they will succeed in expelling the Serbs from the north or any other part of Kosovo.
"In that case, we will know that we are doing our job," Vučić told the citizens in Sokobanja.
He emphasized that Serbia will do its best to preserve peace, but that Kosovo Prime Minister Aljbin Kurti only wants to expel the Serbs.
"Even today, the occupying Gauleiter in the north of Kosovo made a decision to open the bridge, which was a dam and a guardian for our people in northern Kosovska Mitrovica, should he not take it over," Vučić said.
Transformation of indictments
Kosovo Prime Minister Aljbin Kurti previously stated that he expects the issue of missing persons to be discussed at the meeting in Brussels.
He stated that in the Annex for the implementation of the agreement, it is specified that an urgent solution is needed in this matter.
"In the Annex for the implementation of the Ohrid Agreement, we agreed that the issue of the missing is urgent, and I expect it to be resolved urgently on May 2." It is necessary to transform the indictments for those responsible, as in Croatia, so that they can be tried in absentia. "Any delay is unreasonable, because the witnesses are getting old," said Kurti.
On February 27, in Brussels, Aleksandar Vučić and Aljbin Kurti agreed on the text of the agreement on the path to the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
At the meeting held on March 18 in Ohrid, they also agreed on the annex to the implementation of all articles of the agreement.
The leaders did not sign the agreement, and international actors claim that both sides are obliged to implement all articles of the agreement.
