The ninth protest rally in Belgrade ended with a greeting to the students who will gather on Wednesday at noon on the plateau in front of the Faculty of Philosophy and an invitation to citizens to join them.
While they were in front of the Palace of Justice, which was the goal of the protest walk, MP Srđan Milivojević said that a student had just been released from detention, "but he was released into an even bigger prison, in our present." Citizens shouted "Let them all go"!
Videos of the interior of the Palace of Justice are circulating on social networks, showing police in the corridors in equipment to break up demonstrations.
The organizers of the protest, the Serbia Against Violence Coalition (SPN), called on citizens to gather in front of the Serbian Parliament on Wednesday at 18 p.m., and to join the protest organized by ProGlas at the Teraziska Fountain on Saturday at noon.
The leaders of the SPN coalition were with the citizens, as in previous evenings. At the beginning of the rally, they were joined by the hunger striking MPs Danijela Grujić and Jelena Milošević. Marinika Tepić, who is on hunger strike for the ninth day, was unable to join them.
She told N1 that she will not give up her hunger strike and that the hardest thing for her is not seeing her children. "But I think they will be proud," she said.
She called on people to fight for the more than 30 people who were detained after the riots on Sunday and stressed that this should be a priority task.
On Tuesday, Kraljevo residents also protested in front of the Police Department. Those gathered wanted to point out that the voter lists were not updated and that they had to be cleaned. The voter list in Kraljevo also includes the deceased, those who have moved away, which cast doubt on the regularity of the election.
This protest was organized by the opposition parties that passed the census: the Association of Natives, the Local Front, Serbia against Violence and the NADA coalition.
