"The Minister of Justice is trying to present to the public an image of openness to dialogue with employees, while at the same time ignoring union representatives who legally represent employees in the judiciary," the union pointed out, calling on employees not to participate in such feigned dialogue.
The Judiciary Union announced on Sunday (May 11) that the meeting Minister of Justice Nenad Vujic with the employees of the Novi Sad judicial authorities, half of those present left and called on the members and other employees of the judiciary to express their disagreement in the same way at the next meetings, especially in Niš on May 12.
In the announcement Sindikat stated that the member of the Main Board of the Trade Union from Novi Sad, Sandra Nikolić, on May 9, at the minister's meeting with employees of Novi Sad's judicial bodies, pointed out to Vujić the three-month ignoring of strike demands and the accumulated problems faced by employees of Novi Sad's judicial institutions.
According to the Union, Vujić did not want to answer the question of whether he is ready to start negotiations with the Judiciary Union, even though the Ministry continuously does not respond to the legitimate demands of the union, which gathers more than 1.300 members and has the support of over 3.500 employees.
"As an expression of dissatisfaction with such a relationship, half of those present demonstratively left the hall", stated the Syndicate and called on all members and employees of the judiciary to express their disagreement in the same way during the minister's future visits to the judicial authorities, and especially during the visit to the Court of Appeal in Nis, scheduled for May 12.
"The Minister of Justice is trying to present to the public an image of openness to dialogue with employees, while at the same time ignoring union representatives who legally represent employees in the judiciary," the union pointed out, calling on employees not to participate in such feigned dialogue, but to support union activities in solidarity and determination in order to protect their rights and dignity.
